Is he a young postie or an older one, if hes young then give him a break, maybe hes just started0

would those people wanting to give the postie a break like it if they had a house fire and the fire brigade went to the wrong address?
after all, we all make mistakes!0 -
What you want to do is write a letter of complaint and post it... Either way they will have to acknowledge it's a poor service your getting.
They will have to accept your complaint or say they have never received it proving that their system is rubbishIf At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00 -

No comparison one has the potential to be life threatening the other is just annoying. You don't die or lose your house because the postie delivers to the wrong house:rolleyes:
Where I work we get a lot of orders by post. We did not get all our post this morning as they where down staff. We got the rest this afternoon mid afternoon did we make a fuss nope.
Each to there own.
We still get post to my home for someone who moved out 4 years ago but do I make a fuss. Umm no. I just write on there and pop in the next post box I past.

It is annoying, especially if it's happened more than once. I think if the post man was a bit of a prat then I would complain but if he's nice and friendly then I wouldn't because i'd feel bad if he got in trouble.
If I was waiting for something very important though and had to wait days for it because the neighbours were away, then I might feel differently. Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies

If a shop assistant makes a mistake, people clamour for compensation and fire off complaints and say how shop staff are terrible and should be shot.
If someone at a call centre or in an office makes a mistake that costs somebody money, the same happens.
If a postman delivers things to the wrong address, which could easily lead to ID theft (certificates, bank cards, pin numbers, bank statements, etc), fraud, or serious wastes of money (ebay items, amazon items etc going to the wrong address), that's ok, because the posty might be having a (Series of) bad day(s).
I don't understand that. In the grand scheme of things, the postman has a pretty easy job. Read a number and match the items in his basket to that number. I used to do that on my paper round when I was a teenager. Sometimes, he might have to get a signature, but, really, compared to what some people have to remember on their jobs, postmen have a simple job.0 -
I really can't belive that people on this board will refuse to shop in Morrisons because the cafe run out of brown sauce but don't see the problem with the postman posting correctly addressed letters in the wrong door. In the old days when everyone knew their neighbours (and granted in some areas its still like this) it was not a problem. But nowadays who knows what your neighbours are like. The postman job is not that complicated and most of them do a great job in all weathers. But if a postman can't post the letter in the right letter box then something is seriously wrong. I would report this to the manager of the sorting office and Royal Mail general customer services by letter. I would not even try and bother ringing each as the sorting office won't answer the phone and the general customer services are like a stone wall. It may well be that the postman is not suited for the job and somehow and has been covering up for this. You may well find that other people have complained also.
But you should pursue this as all you need is a bank statement to go amiss and you could end up with all kinds of things being obtained in your name.0 -
