He has
Bausch & Lomb
(balafilcon A)
Visibility Tinted Contact Lenses
BC 8.6
PWR -5 (other -3)
They are designed to be worn 24x7x30 so there is no need to take them out at night
I have no idea about any other information on the box, but feel free to ask.
Thanks
GW
I think these are purevision extended wear. The tint and manufacture material seem to be the same.
Tenner a month from Adsa online (https://www.asda.co.uk), or £8 if he never takes them out and doesn't need solutions; or if they are the fancier toric ones (although it doesnt look like a toric prescription to me, so I think you can get cheapies!) £13.75 a month. If you email them, they'll confirm which brand he needs to buy. They'll usually even call his optician for you to confirm the prescirption, so no effort at all really!
Now, I did look into extended wear lenses myself three months ago and I wasn't suitable. But I would really like you to do me a small favour and get him to throw them out every 30 days (no problem now they're a third of the price, right??)
30 day wear lenses have only JUST been licenced in the US - so no one is really sure of the risk of infection yet and he could get all kinds of nasties and even go blind.
Here's a scary web page to show him!!

End of lecture, and hopefully £180 a year saving (left £25 for an annual check up!)Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -

WOW, I haven't looked at the asda site, but £10, thats amazing, I'm flippin annoyed that he just brought 3 months worth (£75)- ho hum, it gives us time to get the wheels in motion I guess.
I haven't looked at the eye damage site either. I am not dismissing it, I think you are very right. We looked into laser treatment and I was too scared (not only of the price) of the effects too, how long it would last, what happens if it goes wrong, etc, etc. The one thing that you would really miss in this world is your sight.
Hubby's not the most organised person in the world, so he genuinly forgets. But he has had 2 infections in the last year, so he then had to go without wearing lenses until it got better, which when driving isn't the most sensible thing to do.
I'll have a look at those links later - Off to take child to hospital appointment now.
Thanks so much
 (oops I can't afford that can I !)

He attended a short notice interview on Monday, they'll let him know..... He has applied for a differnt post with the same co, at a different branch, He has an interview for that tomorrow, but it's with the same person as monday so discussed that on Monday. So we're not sure why he's still got to attend, but hey-ho!
He signed up with a new agency on Monday too, they just called to say that his ref's all checked out and he passed their tests,, so he will start working for them next week *phew*

I am so pleased that the job front is looking up for your husband. Working for the agency will build his confidence back up and who knows where it may lead! Keep up all you good work with the budget and stick to it. Big hugs to you all. Let us know how things go.Now debtfree except for the mortgage!0 -
I have 'sold' the car (got to wait up to 3 weeks for the dosh)
:j
So, I have 6k heading my way.
The plan:
1) Cancel the insurance and hope that they give me a refund (some co's don't anymore)
2) Pay the credit cards £1700 and £2300 = £4k Leaving 2k over.
3) Clear Over draft as much as possible with £2k
4) With the £300 not paying for credit cards, clear all other debts
5) BEGIN TO SAVE!
I am a very happy bunny, thank you all for the push. :T  :T

To be honest I had listed it on ebay 2 times before with scamsters (and timewasters) contacting me.
Once again I contacted most of the people on my email list, and someone I know wants it for their daughter.
thanks

Just read your thread from start to the end. You are a braver girl then me... If people were harsh with me - then I would cry and run for the hills. But you need to understand that they do it because they care. And look now you have turned the corner and are on your way to being debt free.
Well done, keep going and lots of hugs for the way."I will be debtfree":p0 -
