With respect, I purchased a bike from Sports Direct myself and it came with instructions that stated that adjustments may need to be made to the bike in way of tighting up the bolts, chain and cables.
I think its more a case of the buyer being unhappy with the overall bike and trying to get a full refund. Can anyone advise me please?
I purchased a cheap bike (£49.99) from Sports Direct a couple of weeks ago. Anyway - after trying it out - the chain keeps falling off everytime I change gear - basically its rubbish and needs sending back.
However, I have emailed their customer services 3 times now and they haven't responded as I just don't know how to send it back to them - its not something I can really put in the post.
I bought it on my credit card (M&S) and have contacted them - they said they have no liability when it comes to faulty products and won't discuss it anymore.
Sports Direct don't have a telephone number and I really don't know what else to do. Has anyone any advice please about what to do with this bike - I have since bought another as I realised spending £49.99 on a bike is rather daft - but I still have this bike where the chain continually falls off everytime the gears are changed!
Thankyou!0 -

I have got through to Sport Direct on 084512992300 after recieving no replies via the online query service. Seemed pretty efficient, although the proof will be if they send the item that was missing from my initial order.0

I've purchased a lot of stuff from Sports Direct and have never had a problem at all.
I ordered 2 pairs of trainers as I wasn't sure of the size needed...sent the unwanted pair back and was refunded within 2 days.
Maybe I've just been lucky but they've always been fine with me.0 -

Thanks for this. I received a defective pair of trainers from Sports Direct, e-mailed them the very same day to ask for the freepost address, then again four days later and have still received no response.
If you send items via freepost are you still covered by Royal Mail to a degree if they manage to lose the parcel in transit (or if Sports Direct claim not to have received it?)?0 -
SPORTS DIRECT only interested by your money but when getting troubles, you can run, run and run to join them and get a solution : Sport direct will do its best to not reply.
They attracte people with low prices but in case of trouble, one can never reach customer service.
I doubt they really know what a CS look like.
Last, their philosophy is simple : Give us your cash and forget us.
SPORTS DIRECT = THIEVES
Read what sports direct say about itself on website :

I pre-ordered an item from sports direct on 15th September and sent numerous emails to their customer service that got no reply. Order got bumped twice so was not due to be delivered until 31st december.
I searched the internet and easily found the email address for sports direct's CEO and I sent a politely worded email as a formal complaint and quoted The Supply of Goods & Services Act 1982 and told them under my legal rights i am entitled to sufficient action to get the order to me and stated I would give them 14 days then I would take further action.
I sent the mail yesterday 30th November at 4pm and I had the parcel in my hands this morning 1st December.
It appears they don't like the idea of people persuing their poor service.
Despite it being a pre-order, the threat of taking them to court shook their boots enough for them to somehow find a pre-order item (that they say takes 28 days) in less than 8hrs and have it dispatched to the courier by 00:42 this morning and delivered 8hrs later.
They can do things efficiently if they want to, you just have to boot them up the !!! to make it happen.0 -
I eventually got to CS on 08451299230 thanks to the local branch supplying the number. I had a number of problems regarding the delivery charge. They were right that Free Delivery if you spend above £75.00 is only on Standard Delivery. There is no reduction at all for Express Delivery. They are right that Next Day delivery is not guaranteed if you have more than five items. I had more than five items but they were not sent in split packages therefore as my order did not arrive the next working day they were in the wrong. They make it very difficult to query anything if your question doesn't fit their FAQs. The moral is: Be sure to read all the small print. I have a case for complaint and will try to contact senior management. Caveat Emptor!0
