  • re the organised mum stuff - I am tempted by the life book with cover - can you replace the diary bit..or would I have to replace the whole caboodle?
Well you can buy the covers separately so I would say not. I'm going to buy a cover for my family life book(next month-spent too much this month:o).

I have given in and ordered the (cult status) pocket moleskine (squared design, £6.50 free postage on ebay), looks like I will do something along these lines:
    http://aks-research.blogspot.com/2007/08/diary-moleskine-hack.html

If you type in 'moleskine hack' into google this will show you all the customisation people do to a moleskine, so it fits exactly their needs.

I will make a section for logging my personal spending (ie: what I take out of the ATM at the beginning of the month).
This way it can be a diary, a financial log and a wish-list/project book small enough to have on me at all times.
This is also a good site for custom calendars to print:
    http://www.timeanddate.com/

As long as I get over the fear of actually writing in the moleskine, I will be fine :D

I like the idea of this and am very tempted to try it myself, will try to resist! (Partly as I would go to all that effort then realise that my week isn't busy enough to warrant it!)

On a slightly smaller scale I found this whilst browsing and have printed one out, seems pretty handy, easy to stick in your pocket. Going to write fascinating things like the dimensions of the curtains we need on it as I keep writing them on scraps of paper which I lose in between trips to fabric shops, then have to measure again.
  • Am trying to become one of those amazingly organised women! It will take a long time but I will get there, have just purchased a 'Project Book' from Sainsers for £1.99

    http://www.pukka-pads.co.uk/products/projectbooks/prj_projectbooks.html

With all the sections I am hoping to become better at meal planning, house keeping and general life organisation!

I bought the Family Life Book and it runs from Sept 09 until December 10.
I'm pretty sure it would say on the website when it runs from, if you were looking at any of the others.

Ah yes I have tried that site, but the 1 page did not work for me... still waiting for my Moleskine to turn up but in the interim have been applying the Getting Things Done principles and they have been very useful :T

I know what you mean about scraps of paper - I want to have things like all my measurements for clothes, hubbys info for clothes, bus times etc, will design something in Word to fit, then stick to the inner page perhaps. Might even go as far as to have a 'seasonal fruit and veg' fold out bit, if I can get round to it...

On a slight tangent - does anyone know a good website that might send me e-mails to remind me what is in season and when?

For a very small organiser (I use mine for my to do lists and shopping lists) check out pocket mod.
    http://www.pocketmod.com/
Its free and highly customisable! You say what you want to be on every page, print it out on an A4 sheet and follow the instructions to make a booklet.

Sadly, the "Little Bird" range does not - just the bog-standard 12. And I really, really fancied the red one, too...

I didn't mean I would cut everything down to one page Eagerlearner, will still have a diary etc at home, just this to carry round, I forget to stick my diary in my bag. Did you find a website for seasonal info? I think I might write that on it as well so I can check it at the shops.
