Excellent Toto, what a lovely surprise.

DLA form which reduces me to tears every time, then an MRI which I'm so scared for.
Those DLA forms are rough aren't they. I have to do Amber's every few years. I honestly think there has to be a better way of doing it than a huge form. Hope it does well gem and the MRI too.:A

Good Luck Gemzie - hope it goes o.k for you. :grouphug:
Linda - hope you get the fridge sorted and your husbands job is safe. :grouphug:
Oh and hugs :grouphug:to everyone else that needs them as well. I am :wall:today as the estate agents have decided they are coming around tonight. I have explained they we are off to a restaraunt tonight with a friend and it has been arranged for several weeks, so they have decided they will let them selves in . Not happy as we are being as accomodating as possible - it's not our fault LL wants to sell and we don't want to move. It'll cost us in loosing our damage deposit (agents are bad at ripping us off ) - new credit checks, new check-in/ check out fees/ overlap of rents/ctax etc. Arghhh. Anyway I don't think agents have the correct keys -I did tell them but they are coming anyway and don't see why we don't want them here without us. Also lettings branch of same co. have yet to get organised and get our boily fully fixed as cable is the wrong type and it needs to be fixed and has gone on for 3 months nowwith noone to sort it- but hey it's our problem right. Arggh. I hate the whole company. Idiots.
Sorry that turned out to be such a rant.

DF - refuse access under the quiet enjoyment then place tape over the front door - if its broken when you get back you'll know they've been in! Then you can write to them warning them about breaking your rights as tenants!0

Gemzie - isn't that the san where you just go through a huge tunnel and there are lots of random bangy noises? and it's just really, really dull and then you go home - I don't think it's painfull at all? just boring and dull? I'm sure it'lll be fine - it's probably just the thought of it.
Are you meant to take music to keep you entertained?
Anyway good luck with it all.

I think I'm right in saying that they have to give you at least 7 days written notice before they can enter the property....check your lease.
I wasn't aware that a landlord could give you notice unless you'd broken your lease, if they want to sell surely it's with you as sitting tennant?
Gemz - Good luck with your forms and the MRI - DH had his yesterday he was in so much pain afterwards.....One of the Dr's asked if he'd ever had pain in his neck before the accident, he said "no - why?"...."Oh I can't comment, you'll have to wait for the results" says Dr - so he's now paranoid there's something really sinister going on.
Toto - A nice surprise...shame about all the hassle and heartache you had to go through for it tho."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Oh yes
Speechless!
I have just opened the mail. In there was a card addressed to fran, so I opened it thinking its another wedding invite or something we can't go to. But it was a thank you card from Amy, saying she really appreciated his work and a cheque for £1000.
Oh that's lovelyI am here...been out have urgent job to get rid of and then I will be back...
i have a moral dilemma....
Hurry back!I think I'm right in saying that they have to give you at least 7 days written notice before they can enter the property....check your lease.
