If they were a bargain from Argos they were probably reduced to clear. Personally I'd stay away from them as most of the beds they sell are from the Silentnight group :eek::eek:
Most independent manufacturers will supply beds that are zip & link. But be careful as some charge a fortune, but others don't.0 -
we have tried everything, hubbie has back problems and I am a duvet hogger.
first we had a double,then 2 singles,then a superking.
we presently are sleeping in super king sized beds in seperate rooms as hubbie has just had spinal surgery and cannot make it up the stairs,he has his bed in our home office and there is only room for one person to get out of the bed so we cannot sleep together.
I would say for us sleeping seperatly means we have lost a bit of intamacy.
O.P I would measure your bedroom and buy the biggest bed you can fit in there.
any extra no matter how small is worth it.
also do try the 2 single duvets as that worked well for us.0 -
There's no way on this earth Mr LW and I would ever sleep apart. We've rejected holiday hotels when they could only offer us twin rooms!
Mr LW lived alone for many years, and says he sleeps a lot better than he used to, with me there.
For my part, I often have to get up during the night, but need help with this, as I'm disabled; Mr LW is now able to push me up into the required sitting position to get out of bed without him actually waking up properly! Also, when I have nightmares (unfortunatley, quite often) it's so comforting to be able to reach across and touch him.
It's horses for courses I guess; I hope the OP can find a suitable solution. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

I just can't sleep properly in a single, and definitely sleep best with him, and he with me (I hated working away for this reason). At the moment, even though we're neither of us small, we have a standard double, with a kingsize quilt. Although being PG I am wondering if we really need a bigger bed before too long!
Friends of ours (in their 40's) have only recently had their 1st double bed despite being married many years - they both used to work shifts and decided from the start that it would be too disturbing to have a double bed!
Gosh, this brings back memories. The only time I used to get to spend with 'blokey' was aboard his ship. I'm not svelte, and he's 6ft and very broad shouldered- it was very, very cosy in a 2'3 berth! :eek:DTD...Dreading The Detox.0
