I hadn't even considered the Olympic Challenge as I thought there was no way I could make so much money, but I see that's defeatist thinking so hell, I'll have a go. I've sold two books on Amazon today so hey, I'm started.

Thats a great start. I've not done anything as yet. Im waiting on Dell coming to pick up my pc as it crashed before xmas and i've been using my old one which i can just get access to the internet, but cant get any programmes to work and everything is just taking so much longer!!! Once i get my pc back i'll be able to get into listing on ebay again.

I have been entering some competitions online today and just relaxing for a while before i have to go back to work 2moro... not looking forward to it but so far Januarys been a good month 2 full no spend days... well it will be by the end of the nite cause i've no intention of leaving the house!!!!

I've £10 in my purse and thats going to have to last me until the 12th Jan as thats when i get my full time wage. I get paid from my 2nd job on Friday but will need to fill up the car with petrol so that wage will be gone!!!

Anyway as u said onwards and upwards ...

Well its just under a week since my last post and things are starting to look up well i've just decided im not letting anything get to me anymore!!!

I've decided to enter the 2007 comping challenge. So far i've entered 200 using links on this website and its been great cause i've been spending my time doing this and its keeping me away from gambling.
It doesn't cost me anything and theres always the chance i may win something.

I received a letter from scottish power telling me that im in credit and they are reducing my monthly payment from £25 to £24.50 a big saving of 50p a month which is not alot but does add up to £6.00 a year so its always a small saving!

Im looking forward to starting the 2007 olympic challenge 2moro. I've managed to get one of the girls from work to do it with me so we are meeting for lunch to work out how we are going to do it and what else we can do to save money!

Im due to get my pc back on Tuesday and after all the hastle dell are sending me a 512 USB memory stick ( not alot for 2 and a half days waiting in the house ) but once i receive it and my computer i will be sending in a letter of complaint to see if they are prepared to offer me something a bit better for 2 and a half wasted days  highly unlikely but if you dont ask then you dont get!

Off to enter some more competitions will update debt totals next Sunday after i've been paid.

Oh and i've still £2 left in my purse! but did get a better wage than i thought on Friday so can get £10 out my account if i really need to

:T It's update time. Got paid today so have sorted out finances for the coming month so debt is now as follows:

    CURRENT ACCOUNTS:
    ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND £1149.24 O/D now £937.21 O/D
    ALLIANCE & LEICESTER £280.00 O/D no change

    CREDIT CARDS:
    BARCLAYCARD £5191.30 now £5060.00
    MBNA £4591.98 now £4595.63
    MORGAN STANLEY £2060.00 now £2040.00
ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND £9806.72 now £9729.00
    SKYCARD £1489.30 now £1150.00
    TESCO £2351.29 now £2300.00

    TOTAL DEBT OUTSTANDING 1ST JANUARY 2007 £ 26919.83 now @ 12TH JANUARY 2007 £26091.84:eek:

    :T TOTAL PAID OFF SINCE 1ST JANUARY 2007 = £827.99 :T

I had some shares which i sold for £400 which has helped to reduce my debt total. The only problem is that my car insurance is due near the end of the month and my car is going in for an MOT next Thursday (my birthday :j ) so the money that is available in my current account will probably be gone by the end of this week!!!! and there will probably be a balance left to pay which will need to go on one of my credit cards.

I got my pc back on Tuesday night but the only problem is that when you switch it on it comes on with a different error message which they wanted to take the pc away again to fix but after all the hastle i've had with dell they have eventually agreed to send an engineer out to the house to fix it on Tuesday.... just need to see if they appear!!!! It has cost me a fortune in phone calls and i've been totally stressed out trying to get them to understand me and trying to work out what they were saying to me... i think i've spoken to people in all corners of the world and not one of them from this country!!!!

I will be sending a very detailed and long complaint letter as soon as they have fixed the pc properly this time!!!

I've not been doing so well with the olympic challenge so far i've only managed to raise 45p which i found in the street so i suppose its a start but its not that great. I just need to get motivated and get on with it!!! I relisted some items on ebay during the 10p listing day and some are being watched but most items have been on before and probably wont sell but im hoping that someone will bid on a few of them. I do intend to have a proper clearout over the next few weeks so im hoping to find some things that will sell.

I've entered over 400 competitions now and am keeping my fingers crossed that i win something

Im off to enter some more competitions and then its bed

Well done BB! Haven't read up for ages, sorry - but catching up now and you are doing so well on paying off stuff - look at how much you have achieved in just 2 weeks! WOW!

Good luck on the challenges and the comps too - are you also doing Quidco and Pigsback? Didn't see anything in your sig so wasn't sure...

Thanks Eagerlearner. Yes i am still doing quidco and pigsback - the reason they are not in my signature is that i was asked to reduce it so am not including them. I keep my own records on a spreadsheet for these so i know where i am with them.

Im just not having a great time at the moment things aren't going too well at all. I've been with someone for over 6 years but its not been a proper relationship as such... i don't even know whether to try and explain as even friends think i've been stupid letting it go on as long as it has and i don't think i could bare any more i told you so's.

The upshot of it all is that its been over a month since i last heard from him and im finding it really hard. I think i have to face facts that its over but don't feel ready to deal with it as yet.

I don't know how to explain all i know is that im feeling really low at the moment i've been losing weight over the last month or two without trying... now down to just over 9st which iv not been since 1999!!! I've been eating the same as usual but the weights still coming off... now usually i wouldnt be all that bothered but i really cant afford to loose any more weight... i cant afford to get new clothes.

Sorry for going on and not being very positive but i've spent the last 2 hours in tears and just needed to talk to someone about it

    HI Buddiebabe

Sorry to hear you are feeling so low. It's a tough time of year to have to deal with emotional blows as well as everything else. Hang on in there and hope you start feeling better soon.

Don't worry about the weight loss, when you feel like getting some new clothes you'll probably find some great ones on freecycle or at a car boot sale, for now, just tighten your belt.

Aw bless 11_2_104.gif, consider yourself hugged. It's always horrible when a relationship ends, and Seaxyn is right, it's a pants time of year for it right now.

Chin up, hope you feel a bit brighter tomorrow, you're doing so well. xx

    Thanks for your kind words.

I got up this morning and felt alot better, got myself ready for work... made an effort to make myself feel better then i went to get into the car..... Got to the car only to find that during the night someone smashed my wing mirror, the casing is completely smashed as is the mirror. It was just hanging on and no more! It had to be the driver side 2... It was nearly the last straw .... but i got into the car and started to drive to work ( i would have asked my mum to borrow her car but she had to take my sister to the airport so i had no option but to drive or be late!!!) I got to work but was feeling really down and nearly burst into tears when someone asked if i was ok.

I really thought things were going to get better but they are just getting worse. I've had to drop the car into the garage tonight to get a new wing mirror fitted and they said they would do the MOT 2moro instead of Thursday ( my birthday ) only problem is i now need to find the money for the wing mirror and the MOT...and my insurance is due up on the 27th i could just cry but know if i start again im not going to be able to stop.

There is one plus point overtime is available at work for this week and may continue on a week to week basis but as im only in work 2moro and wed then i can only do an hour in the morning from 8 - 9 i'll just need to try and get up in time to get me there.

When i went into work tonight one of the girls had left me a card and a bar of chocolate for my birthday i was so grateful i couldn't stop crying :o ( i know she's not got alot of money and it was so thoughtful of her )

Things have got to get better soon. I think all i'd need is one small thing to push me over the edge and i dont think i could handle anymore.

Hi BB - hope you feel better today - it's one day at a time, easier that way - once the wing mirror is fixed you will have that off your list. It's a cost, but these things happen - just a shame it had to happen now! Have a lovely birthday and chin up honey - January is a cr*p time at the best of times and you are having a bad week that can only get better - try to think positive.

In terms of the relationship, it seems like deep down you know it's a good thing for it to end, but it's a habit and habits are hard to break. Your self worth is worth more by the sounds of it, but see how you feel in 1 week, 1 month, 3 months time. It may be the best thing for you in 2007 - then you only have yourself to worry about and you free up space for a new relationship that's more rewarding.

Have a good day hun x
