LOL cue the obligatory onslaught of personal insults hurled around by 'Always_Knows_Everything' when someone disagrees with his opinion.
Eh? what are you on about here - personal insults? Please quote me then.
When did anyone disagree with any opinion (not just mine)? The person came on mouthing off about utter nonsense - nothing about my opinion was brought into question.
Want some help learning to read....?2010 - year of the troll

It would seem that I have upset you somewhat, which was not even slightly my intention, if that is so then I unreservedly apologise. You will see by the number of my posts that I have not exactly been here a great deal of time, so I am obviously mistaken, in that I thought I had read on some thread somewhere that you were not best happy with HBOS - OK if I am wrong then again I apologise. The point I was making was that HBOS4ME had stepped over the line and that whilst he is entitled to his opinion, he should not be abusive or make smart aleckey comments and that even if he holds strong views he should conduct himself with dignity and I was sort of trying to say that he should not make personal comments and say his views in a similar vein to yourself (prior to your lates posts) - obviously I missed the mark.
What has the fact I live in Leeds got to do with anything? Leeds has a population of approaching 750,000 people and I just happen to be one of them - pure co-incidence I assure you, and I am really real and not hiding behind another name (If you wish me to speak to you by PM to prove this i am happy to do so). By the way I had no idea that the other poster may have another username, as you so succinctly pointed out I have not been here that long, and so was not aware of this.
My use of the expression "Default" credit card, was meaning that that is the main card I use for most of any purchases I might make, I do have others but use them less or not even at all - hence it is the default card I would select from my wallet when buying something. No More no Less.
Why would I have reason to lie? I can only tell you of my experience. I do not doubt that others, and this may or may not include yourself, have had a different experience, but that is simply not true in my case, I can only speak for myself.
You will excuse me if, due to your quite unprovoked attack on me, that I don't on this occasion add to your thank list, as you never appear to have tried to consider that I was only trying to calm old HBOS down and not you. If he is a troll then I admit I have been taken in.
I am prepared to step back and admit my mistakes in this thread, are you?0 -
never-in-doubt wrote: »Troll. Funny, someone been here for 1 month with 21 posts trying to tell various others such as TheEffect/Brian etc etc with a far superior thank count on how to behave in the forum.
Personally I call it politeness to speak to someone in an adult and civil manner - however "senior or junior" they may be on this forum. Manners cost nothing.0 -

Valid points. I apologise for my outburst, I did read it as though you were having a go at me, especially as I don't dislike HBOS 'extra' than any other bank - they are all as bad as each other.
Yea, HBOS4ME is actually a banned member called EASTERNTHUNDERUK and I assumed you were linked, sorry for that.
Can't argue with your post - very well put together. :T
You should get a job in PR - you'd put max Clifford to shame2010 - year of the troll

Hahaha Thanks for that. Pax Romana?0 -
Actually my son is in a very secure financial situation due to an inheritance and a savings plan his grandparents set up for him when he was born. Halifax is no better with those who have money than those who have not. He is closing his accounts down and moving them elsewhere for better customer service and more help to invest his money. They have been absolutely useless.
Added to that if Halifax are soooo good then why did they send him 2 credit cards with different account numbers when he only requested and signed 1 application form?!?!?:rolleyes:
If he hadn't informed them they would have had no idea as they had no record of itWow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted
I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p
