The fact that our wedding is now a month tomorrow is the strangest feeling! OH is getting surprisingly twitchy now, I'm feeling a mix of overwhelmed and slighly panicked! Still lots to do and more that can't be done til nearer the time, are you guys feeling the same?

I think the honeymoon is going to be the most surreal week of our lives!

OH works in the same field as me and came to my office today and someone said afterwards "your husband was just in" and I just thought, "I don't have a husband" and she said "I mean husband to be" and it just hit me how surreal it all sounds!

Had make up trial this afternoon, I think it might be too dark and OH agrees. The girl was really nice and said I can go in for another trial if I am not happy so I may call her tomorrow to organise something.

Amymo - I practice saying Mrs L and my husband lots, but mainly cos I am a big geek, lol :o I think I will be used to it in 6 weeks time :rotfl:

And Rose, I am totally with you. Sometimes it feels like I am on top of everything and I am quite blase about it all and chilled out. And then every now and then I think, eek, need to do this, and need to do that, and I get a bit more panicked. I've started making a lot more lists than normal to keep on top of everything and that is defo helping. I like crossing things off as well, lol!!

Super news about your dress sammy :j :j :j Hows the flabeos (sp?) been going? Do you think it has helped?

I rang my mum this evening to ask her for something old to borrow. Think this forum is super in lots of ways, but then it also kind of gives me ideas of, ooooo, I should maybe have that too. Like I have now been looking at garters and all sorts of things, which I maybe wouldn't have ordinarily been looking at were it not for a thread someone started...

I have made up and painted my wishing well white for people to deliver any cards into. I still need to decorate it with our colours, which might be my project this weekend. I have also been practicing flavours of cupcakes as I am making my own cake n cupcakes. Must say tho, the cupcake sampling is not helping with the ol diet tho! :o

    I know - 6 weeks - eeeekkkk

Haha, I have been struggling with diet motivation the last couple of weeks. Since I tried the dress on and it fitted, I kind of relaxed a little, even tho I would ideally like to lose another 7lbs.

A half term break to the seaside with fish n chips and ice creams and donuts will not have helped in the slightest either :o

Am back on the dieting and exercising routines with avengence now. One last push (well, a long last push, but y'know what I mean...)

What else have people got left to do then??

I have my hair trial on 28th June.
I'm doing my own make up so no trial required
    Wishing well to finish decorating
Fruit cake to make & decorate for the cake to cut
OH still has to chose his ring - must [STRIKE]nag[/STRIKE] chase him about this
Chose underwear, decide whether to have a garter etc
Sort out goodie bags for the kids. Am doing that I spy game with the cameras for the kids who are attending the ceremony. I've gotten the kids digital cameras rather than disposable ones, as by the time I had paid for the camera and processing it wasn't much difference. Plus some of the younger ones would not have been able to understand how to use a flash on the disposable ones at all, so prob all the photos would have been rubbish anyway. I've bought 2 camera so far, still need 2 more, plus one for my daughter. Am going to get her a slightly better one as a treat for being our bridesmaid. Ebay is my friend tho, so I keep looking out for bargains.

    A month today!

At my make up trial the girl helped me with my timings for getting ready on the day, everything is probably going to be brought forward an hour on her suggestions, going to discuss with my mum and then confirm with the hairdresser.

    I have left to do...

    Chase up 2 evening invites
Wedding gifts 1 left to get
Decide on table plan when final guest numbers are in and email to the hotel
    Make up place cards
After meeting with chaplain make up order of service
    Arrange another make up trial
Let hairdresser know about 1 more hair and timings
Pick up menus from hotel Doing this today
June 13th Meeting with band & pay deposit 7.30pm
    June 30th Dress fitting 3pm
    Pack for honeymoon
July 4th Thorntons favours being delivered
July 5th OH pick up wedding schedule 11am
    July 7th pick up kilts
    Pick up wedding cake

Anyone fancy going on a health drive for the few weeks/last month? I can't lose weight cos of the dress and I'm guessing most people are the same or just losing a bit for comfort but how about the water, fruit kind of thing? I keep resorting to chocolate and cakes at the moment which is fine now but I really don't want the spots and bad skin to appear on my wedding day. I may be more motivated to keep to being healthy or at least have a few less treats, I am going to try it anyway, if anyone wants to join me then feel free.

I have another make up trial booked for Friday next week, should get something sorted.

Just been checking my list...15 things left on it and 5 can't be done until the last week and 3 of the others are appointments so only 7 things to do with 4 weeks to do them in, they won't even take that long.

    Hiya Aj,

I'm on a diet / exercise regime at the minute so you can gladly chat to me about it all.

I've been trying to up my water - well sugar free quash - intake, as I have slackened up on the diet since having a dress fitting and it actually fitting. I find that drinking more helps me feel a bit fuller, and it will have a knock on effect of helping my skin and stuff to I suppose...

I'm also knocking alcohol on the head for a couple of weeks. I do like a bit of alcohol, but then that usually leads to making poor food choices if I am squiffy, or even worse nibbles the day after!

I'm out at a queen tribute night on the 24th june, so obv I shall be partaking in a shandy or 2 then.

And then its my hen to the weekend after. And it would be rude not to drink on that :rotfl:

But other than that - I'm gonna try to not have any. No cheeky cider's in the sunshine - no glass of vino with a meal on a weekend.

I did myself a list of things to do, not just wedding things, all sorts of things. Erm, it came to 52 things :o I did cross 5 off today tho :T

I also checked up on my photographer and hes had another glowing review. So thats good. Hes ever so cheap, so I guess I am kind of worried, even tho I did my research and liked his photos and liked his reviews as well. But I think the extra review has helped put my mind at rest a bit.

Have cancelled all make up stuff, my sister is doing it although I had already decided to do it myself. I feel much happier as it was stressing me out far too much.

    Chase up 2 evening invites
Wedding gifts 1 left to get
Decide on table plan when final guest numbers are in and email to the hotel
    Make up place cards
After meeting with chaplain make up order of service
    Do front cover of menus
Let Rachel know about 1 more hair and timings
June 13th Meeting with band & pay deposit 7.30pm
    June 30th Dress fitting 3pm
    Pack for honeymoon
July 4th Thorntons favours being delivered
July 5th Rich pick up wedding schedule 11am
    July 7th pick up kilts
    Pick up wedding cake

Going to try and tackle the stuff in bold this weekend.

Some possibly good news, I may have most of the week off before the wedding, I was only expecting to have a day and a half off so if it happens it will be great.
