Saw the vicar today and have finalised everything with him. He also approved our hymns, reading and order of service and has signed my passport form so I sorted that out at the post office this afternoon.

I have been in a strange mood about the wedding, it feels like I can't be bothered and that worries me although a friend did mention that might be my way of dealing with any stress of it. Spoke to OH about it earlier, I really want to be married and am looking forward to everone getting together but these next few weeks seem so wierd. We don't really have anything to do which may be adding to the wierd feeling. I just feel deflated although I feel a bit better after today. Does anyone else feel like this or am I wierd?

You're not weird! I'm starting to feel like that. People keep telling me there must be loads to do, but there really isn't. It's kind of odd, I want to be excited about it, but it also feels a bit abstract at the minute.

    Just checking in.

Went to church yesterday and have confirmed music and service options - had no idea there was so much choice! We're also going to write our own prayer like Wills and Kate to make it personal.

Bride entrance - Queen of Sheba
Signing register - Canon D Pachelbel - love it - wish i could have it for the entrance but a waste as will only be about 20 secs!
Departure - traditional midsummers night dream Mendelssohn

    Hymns

Give me joy in my heart
    Lord of the Dance
One more step along the world

I'm actually looking forward to the church ceremony now as it should be nice and jolly!

Sister in law has offered to do some cup cakes for me.
BM dress fitting next sat 18th June.

    Still to do:
    Buy fireworks
    table confetti
disposable cameras for 2 little boys
pew end foams to make myself
    BM hair and accessories
    Start paying invoices :(
    confirm menu choices
    orders of service
go shopping with MIL to get her an outfit
and prob loads more I've forgotten!

Thanks, it makes me feel better knowing I am not the only one.

We have just made out table plan number 4, I think this may be the one. It has been a delicate task but we think everyone will be happy where they are and we have exactly who we want on our table :D

For our service we have the following
Hymns: We plough the fields and scatter (harvest but OH loves it) and Lord of al hopefulness.
Music: Bridal party entrance (we will all come in to the same music) - The Duchess Tree
Signing the register - A Gift of a Thistle and Wild Mountain Thyme
    Recession - La Rejouissance

    Our first dance; Caledonia

    Still to do
Get in touch with string quartet about music choices
    Chase up 3 evening invites
    1 Wedding gifts
Decide on table plan when final guest numbers are in and email to the hotel
    Make up place cards
After meeting with chaplain make up order of service
June 8th Make up trial 4pm
Confirm make up timings for the day
Let hairdresser know about 1 more hair and timings
    Pick menus up from hotel
June 13th Meeting with band & pay deposit 7.30pm
    June 30th Dress fitting 3pm
    Pack for honeymoon
July 4th Thorntons favours being delivered
July 5th OH pick up wedding schedule 11am
    July 7th pick up kilts
    Pick up wedding cake

2/3 songs for the register, don't think it takes that long - i went to a church wedding before and it was only one song - maybe the organist will drag it out - it has quite a long build up - i will ask though!

On the topic of being bored with the whole thing - my interest keeps fluctuating, one min I'm really excited and the other quite blase. Think that's how my diet has been also!
