One of my friends is coming up next weekend, it is the weekend that 3 of us have thought of doing a "hen" thing. I'm not that keen but they want me to have something so I feel I should oblige. All the things I would like to do aren't happening next weekend. I am hoping they will let me get away with quite a chilled out thing.

I have just come back from a fab hen weekend in the peak district. Rather tired, but not hungover which is great as back to work tomorrow.
OH still hasn't done the passports for our 2 boys, (I'm not changing mine this year, as its due for renewal next year). I keep pressing him to do, with the urgency that the weeks are ticking down, but its not getting through, considering this is all he has had to do for the wedding.
Anyway I have few more jobs to do, OH has his stag weekend next week.
    Its all good fun!

Not a July 2011 bride (am a July 2012 one instead) but just wanted to say TC1978 love the dress, and hair :) Oh and the invites!! (Did you make these?)

Thank you! I love my dress and was very impressed with the hairdresser. Yes, we've done ALL our stationery- bonus of marrying a graphic artist! Today we've tackled the Order of Service booklets and now we're onto finding suitable readings. I must put a copy of the invite on flickr, as I think it's only got Save the Date cards on. I have to say I am rather proud of them! :j

Hoping Rev can come up with something tomorrow night as we are struggling with hymns too- everything reminds me of school! I know I want something familiar, but I'd rather it be something 'strangely familiar'!!

Readings- looking for one religious, one poem styled one. Again, hoping Rev can help out and 'think' we may have second sorted although I'm hoping nobody will realise they are song lyrics!!

Think I'd best go to bed... have to go back to work tomorrow :(

just got back from fitting :)

it fits :)-- nearly--- because the dress it very embroided at the top the alterations lady says this can mean it looks like it is ruffling up a bit--- it helped smooth it out with a bra on-- so i now need to buy a crossover/strapless bra
am going back in 2 weeks because she is adding more material on the bottom because its a bit short

am happy because she said its not my tummy and my weight- its just the style of the dress- and it can be fixed with a bra and me standing up straight-- my posture is rubbish!!

    big smiles from me :)

I need help with my timings....

if your dress is a lace up jobby like mine, how long are you all allowing to get into it?
I have no idea how long the make up takes.... havent had my trial yet,
how much spare time have you given yourself when your ready but not ready to go yet? its a few photos and hanging around time if everything has gone to plan or panic and emergency time if theres been a mess up somewhere....

if you dont have to leave the house til 2.45 what time do you see yourself being 100% ready?
