50 days!! cant believe it!

bridesmaid dress fits so that is great- so 2 of my bms are getting their dresses alterated on saturday

Had my first dress fitting today. Just needs taking in around the bust and she is sorting the bustle and a bit on one of the bust cups that doesn't sit right. It looks fine but I am exhausted at the moment and really couldn't be bothered. I am a bit concerned that I wasn't more enthusiastic but at least I felt better than yesterday when I couldn't even stand or sit without being really achy. Next dress fitting is June 30th :eek: it had better be ready by then, although I am going to get in touch with her tomorrow to see if she can fit me in any earlier or let me know of any cancellation appointments.

Mum has said she is definately coming up on the Wednesday (we get married on the Saturday) and I stupidly said she can stay here as it doesn't make sense her booking a hotel when we have a spare room. I know she wants to be here to help if we need it, especially if anything goes wrong but it does seem wierd, I don't finish work until the Thursday lunchtime officially. We were planning on having everything done the weekend before anyway, we definately will need to now, it might be nice to chill.

I had my first emotional moment today but it may be related to my tiredness. As I left my mum and sister at the station to get my train, I noticed my mum waiting and waving to me all the way to the train until she couldn't see me anymore. It hit me that although they will always be my parents I really am no longer their little girl. I know it is a traditional way of looking at things but OH will be responsible for me now rather than my dad. I think that may get me more on the wedding day although talking to my sister she reckons I will cry during the service. I have no idea how I will react to it.

Anyway, hair trial tomorrow night and I really have no firm idea of what I want. Luckily I am not paying for it so I am hoping we can play about with loads of ideas.

Saw vicar last night for first of two wedding preps - was quite nerve wrecking talking about our relationship incl. finances, personalities and sex! Was really nice to get to know her better tho and she put us at ease.

Photographer came this evening also, so all sorted.

Can't believe its only next month, time is going too fast! Hen is in 3 weeks cannot wait!

You talked to your vicar about sex?! What did s/he/you say?!

Finally just finished filling in the passport application stuff to get my post dated passport in my married name. I'm glad I got 2 forms, I have been practising my signature for weeks and it has been the same, the minute I go to put it on anything official...it went wrong! We have finally pinned the vicar down for a meeting on Monday afternoon so all I need is for him to sign the extra form and then I can send it away. My niece's passport just came back in 10 days, I hope mine does too! I know I will have 5 weeks but I woud rather it was here earlier just so I know it is done.

So on Monday we will be finalising all the details for the service and getting the vicar to ok our order of service, deciding what things we can use of his to decorate our venue, sending my passport and using a copy of the form the vicar signs to change my travel insurance policy so I travel in my new name.

Tonight I have my hair trial. I am going to check timings with her so I know when the make-up lady needs to arrive and I can let her know that on Wednesday. I should be able to draft up a timetable for getting ready on the day after this evening. I am also checking on 1 day guest that we invited as an extra while I am with her as she has their contact details so I can email the venue stylist with our final numbers.

We are still waiting officially for 3 evening invites, 2 have let us know that they don't know what they are doing re holidays but as we didn't need to know so early we have given them some extra time to let us know. The othher we have heard on the grapevine that she is coming but don't know officially so OH can sort that next week at work.

We have 27 things on the "still to do" list and after these couple of meetings there will be 14 left, 5 of which are deliveries and pick ups in the last week. I feel quite organised at the mo so I hope it stays that way, I am even considering packing for the honeymoon soon so I can't be tempted to wear any of my new clothes.

Make up trial done (Tuesday)
Meeting with hotel to finalise finalised bits and pieces done (Wednesday)
Meeting with hotel florists done
Meeting with town florists done (Thursday)
Hair trial done
Dress fitting done (today!) Rather a lots of pins were needed- seamstress is going to be a very busy lady! Next visit 12th July!
