I've seen more maturity and less bickering from primary school kids.

If you dont like. DONT READ! SIMPLE!

If bickering is a definition of what this is, then it's not like any bickering I've seen.

I do keep trying to get away from it - how about not directing anything at me? I'm not interested any more.

That goes for any other random posters who feel like having a pop.

My post wasnt directed at any one in particular, but if you choose to take it personaly then.... It was aimed at all those involved in the exchange of words and pointless banter. I dont care who starts a thread on whatever topic, so long as those replying stick to topic and not digress.

I usually come back to answer something that has been levelled at me or some snide - or downright nasty - comment made about me.

I promised myself yesterday to leave it be - but I don't just "take" personal remarks (such as there have been)) lying down. And the fact remains that NOW the point is that it is still considered BY SOME that a daily thread would not be appropriate; I agree with that and continue to to say so.

There's chatter - and Chatter. The issues that I am raising, responsing to and eliciting responses to are hardly Chatter, let's face it.

Oh right so long as it's "chatter" that you approve of then thats OK then ;) Having read your posts on the threads previously you make snide remarks on the thread and you wonder why people bite? Like Lita has pointed out if you stick your head over the parapet you're gonna get shot at.
Sorry but you can't keep complaining about threads going off topic if you then cause them to do the very same thing you are complaining about.

It was a bit unfortunate in that the thread was started in good faith but taken off track at post 2 by one of the fashion supporters:rotfl:

Is it now not a matter of semantics?

Who started what, who continues what, who is most insulted, offended or bullied or bullying?

This particular thread was not about what people are wearing if you care to check; it is a continuation of the discussion around whether or not a daily thread would be most appropriate; or not. I am (more than) happy to keep away from the what people are wearing thread because that doesn't remain the topic (and clothes interest me, not the rest of the stuff; I've said this before).

There are others besides me who think the thread does not warrant a daily incarnation - and maintaining one is childish in the extreme. Elsewhere on the site, there are long-standing threads about particular subjects - if you (all) can't see that that is the preferred style
of the forum as a whole then you are being stubborn at best and bloody-minded at worst.

    What makes you so special?

I think we can repeat ourselves 'til we're blue in the face. I'd quite like this thread to go away now - it's turned into exactly what I was trying to avoid by starting it in the first place.

If you feel the inclination, go vote in the poll and we'll see how that works out. I won't be voting because I really don't care either way!! I just want to find a solution that allows the fashion fans amongst us to post without comment from those who disagree. If that's a weekly thread, then so be it. Anything to stop me banging my head against this brick wall, really.

Please pick one and vote. I'd prefer all those who have an opinion on these threads (be it good or bad) to make a choice. Just so that everyone is clear about what is the majority.

Ah, bless you. Ok, well, I don't mind either way but in the interests of diplomacy... I'll go vote now. ;)

Gosh what a performance for something so simple, completely ignore the rudeness and it will go away, if the posters who are causing a problem don't have anyone to play with they will look elsewhere, basic psychology I think:confused:I'm easy going as to how the daily fashion thread is formed just as long as it doesn't go away:)

Such a shame glowgirl that youve taken this stance. I've been heavily promoting you as the one who knows all about self tan on various beauty sites.
