Why does a phrase involving pots and kettle and the colour black spring to mind?:p

    Well said soapster!!! :p

Valli - I wouldnt be offended by your DS - its more of a compliment really. Your his mum, so its so uncool to have your mum as a friend on your FB. Where as dads GF is only Dads GF - trivial and unimportant. And her opinion doesnt count whereas yours does..... Thats how I looked at it when I was a teenager anyway

Off to do some more catching up....
:)Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying:)

Had a wander around the shops this morning with DD. She doesnt find out till next week if she can finish her placement at mums place. She only had two weeks to do. Fully over the swine flu now. Hospital was busy day as lots of clinics on, I wasnt on the ward today as my co volunteeer was doing her stint. Finished the kitchen when I got in tonight.

    Welcome to the newbies.

the ironing board and iron have been relegated to the clutter pile in the garage!! I suggest you all do the same, it's very liberating. Remember, it's all in how you hang it out to dry!

Yes, linked in DOES work... ....

I'm happy to look over your CV, but slightly daunted by the thought of it! If you let me know what kind of things you're looking for I'll see what I can find too!

Don't know why you're feeling daunted at the thought.... you can't be feeling any more daunted then me asking you to do it! All my secrets will be out! What will she think of me after seeing my CV? All that tarting about ...... different companies etc. etc. But, it'll do me good AND is part of my stop hiding from everyone resolution and being so paranoid about my identity. You never know, once big bro sorts out the 'official' wedding pohotos I might - just might put one of ME up there in my frock!

I've had an email from the HR guy re. Friday's interview saying he should be in a position to discuss next steps tomorrow morning... I think that sounds positive

I would take 'next steps' as definitely positive! After all, he wouldn't email you today just to say he'll be giving you the big heave ho tomorrow... I have everything crossed - have you decided if you want it or not?

I don't see anything wrong with having multiple online identities if they reflect the different aspects of your lives! But it would be nice to see the pictures of you in your posh frock!

As for the tarting around with lots of different companies, I think you'll find it's called a portfolio career, and it's what's expected nowadays... there's no such thing as a job for life!

I'm quietly hoping that's the case... I think I'll take it and give it a go - if it doesn't suit me then I can always move on. If I don't try it, I'll regret it (particularly if I end up unemployed!). However, I need to sit down and do some working out as I'll need to negotiate a bit on the package, as the benefits aren't currently as good as what I get.

I've also discovered that the guy who is taking over my team is off on leave from Thursday for 2.5 weeks, and has told our boss it would be a good idea to keep me on until he's back... I guess in some ways that's good, as it'll take me to the end of the month (so an extra month's holiday/pension/benefits/bonus), but I'm hoping I will be put at risk at the same time so I can justify a very low level of work! And hopefully I can then negotiate some gardening leave and PILON so I can have a break before starting the new job, but not have to work the whole of my notice.

Right... must go and find food... and sort some of my wardrobe!
