My BIL said 'part furnished'.. basically it has the cooker, a washer and a fridge.. they desperately need a bed .. Had a sudden thought then.. I don't get many.. TRIKER YOU HAVE A PM..

They need all the basics now.. towels, tea towels, toaster, cleaning stuff, bin, shower curtain, tv, stereo etc.... amusing thing.. the supermarket refused to sell DS1 cutlery set because it contains knives and he hadn't any Id on him!!! How stupid is that? Dinner cutlery.. as if you'd buy that to injure someone.. talk about nanny state!!

I have a feeling I have some cutlery and crockery in the garage, together with a box and some packing material. Would they be interested? Purely in the interests of decluttering you understand...

Cool thanks - its a glass roasting dish so its deff oven proof just had a blank and couldnt work out if it would work or not smiley-laughing010.gif

Also glad to see its kitchen day tomorrow - another one that shouldnt need too much doing to it smiley-chores004.gif
are you looking at the right list elf??? it was kitchen today and its livingroom tomorrow!

pigpen at least they have a WM - important with Jacob - I am sure they will build up the rest - get onto freecycle (re-register in another name - or new man could do it!) and see what you can find.

witchwoopiggy I am glad DH commented - it does make you feel better when someone notices - poor man - it cant be easy being bed-ridden a lot - we will have to think of jobs that he could do if he was fit from the bed!!! he might enjoy helping. The more you do in the house following the lists the easier it will become and even when you do let things slip it doesnt take so much effort to get back on track. With a poorly DH it will be good if you have things under control so that you can look after him and spend time with him with out running yourself ragged.
Ginger a huge squishy (((hug))) for your Mum - what a star and your DH for trying to help your friend. It will take time for you all to come to terms with your loss - it wont happen overnight so take it easy and be there for each other. (((hugs)))

have had a quiet day - well for me -I have only done emails, phone calls, a visit from my Macmillan nurse, had the painter here all day and the cleaner came in too.

Toots - hope your cleaner is finding the lists useful ;). Make sure that the cleaner does the difficult stuff that you definitely can't do! Do you still have help from a carer as well?

Right... suppose I should stop sitting here doing nothing and tidy up the mess I made getting supper and the piles of clothes in my bedroom and get myself to bed!

I had a sudden vision of him lying in bed with a feather duster on a really really long pole and being able to dust the whole room without getting up from bed! :rotfl::rotfl:

Hope you have a good day tomorrow Toots, it's so nice having you back

Helen, well done on getting your plan sorted out and hope your DH is better soon

I've washed up this evening and decluttered DH to the bath.
