I don't think posting pictures on an open forum is a good idea. I would never do that, even if the picture didn't show my face. I'd be happy to have a general 'fashion chat' thread that gets updated every day with our outfits. As long as the constant baiting stops, I think we'll all be happy.0

I agree with Grammargirl's post, and will go with whatever is the general consensus.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Like others I cant see bullying
As for implying that fashion causes depression -
No one has said thet either. However depression is becoming fashionable
I am also annoyed that there are still many naive people who think fashion is worthless.
I dont think its any more worthless than pop music. the two are similar
As an undergraduate studying Writing, Fashion and Culture I am educated to say that fashion has a vast cultural value and has done since time began.
Could you explain the cultural value of loons?
We can document the past from the clothes people wore, fashion helps art historians date paintings more easily and specifically, fashion is an integral part of our culture giving people freedom/hope/happiness and most importantly identity.
Some cultures have kept the same clothes for centuries. not sure your theory fits
Not to mention the industry employs millions of people across the world.

I'm indifferent to fashion's value - there are interesting, thoughtful topics to be explored but that's not what we're doing here. We're talking about frivolous, lighthearted chit chat - it doesn't have much value, but what's wrong with that? Not everything we say has to be loaded with meaning and worth. If I want to tell you all about my latest Matalan bargains (I hit the jackpot with a floral playsuit today) I will, it doesn't make me feel less intelligent.0

If you'd been paying attention to these fashion threads instead of just trying to rile us, you'd know what a playsuit was! And you can't buy them in Ann Summers!0 -
Another really busy day at work for me today, so didn't have time to post earlier.
Just a slouchy jeans and black t-shirt day for me today, turquoise Ugg flip flops. Home now, and wearing vintage kimono-style dressing gown thing (charity shop).
I have to say, I don't think the fashion threads are pointless.
They can give people new ideas and the courage to experiment and maybe try something they woudn't have considered previously.
It also illustrates the fact that you don't have to spend a fortune on clothes - most people on here have found some great charity shop buys, ebay or sale bargains.
I particularly love reading about Goanmad's fab jumble sale finds and piratefairy's HUGE shoe collection and - however, these threads occupy only a tiny fraction of my day, as I'm sure it does for others on here, it's the equivalent of a tea break.0 -

Actually, AB, this could be applied to quite a few of your posts.

I don't know that anything should have to change in response to the whims of one individual, with extremely controlling behaviour and an inflated view of the importance of their opinions in relation to other people's.
There are, within reason, no constraints on the number of threads posted on a board, so talk of fashion threads pushing out other threads is nonsense.
In view of bounders conduct on the fashion threads, I find it questionable whether he is actually a fit person to be leading a depression thread for people in a vulnerable situation. I won't go and disrupt it though, honest!Who I am is not important. What I do is.0
