I've never heard anyone compliment the UK, especially the food! But I guess it can be good value for money, especially for students. I can't wait to get to University... 38 days and counting...0 -
I'm really really excited about Uni... I never thought it'd happen for me, yet here I am living in a shared student house with my boyfriend and our friends (they're all 2nd years) and about to start next month! Psychology every day! It's my dream come true!On the up

I can't wait to start my degree in September, after 2 years on an access type course, I have realised that at 33 I should really enjoy it as much as I can!!! I have a teenager about to go to college to do a-levels too so it should all be ok. Just really want to crack on with it now and get to where I want to be.*BSC member 159*If you can't get rid of the skeleton in your closet, you'd best teach it to dance.....:D0

Yayyy love the thread! I'm 23 and I shall be finally starting Uni about the 21st September. I've been unemployed since April so as you can imagine I am climbing the walls!
I am seriously looking forward to starting Uni. I will be studying Creative Writing at Greenwich. I'm just in the middle of sorting out a Student Account and my room in halls. I'm going to be living with teenagers! I am a little nervous and beginning to panic about money but I just keep putting it at the back of my mind and hoping I'll find a part-time job or something else to supplement the loans.
I still can't believe I am finally going to Uni. It was actually one of my famous random impulses. I was on the net one night in June and just decided to log on to UCAS and apply. I'm really pleased I did it.0 -
I'm also a mature student and I'm starting uni in September!
I'm soooooooo excited, but the summer has really dragged in since finishing my access course at college.
Have a meeting with an advisor of studies on Sept 11th, registration on Sept 14th, then it all starts for real the following week.
I can't wait!:j
I'm desperate to get a part time job while studying, but I don't know what days I'll be in uni yet, so will have to wait and find that out first. I can't work evenings or weekends as I'm a single parent and struggle with childcare.0 -
I am 44 years old and will turn 45 and I return to education this September after leaving school (during the last ice age) back when I was 16 years old. It has been a struggle to get where I am, to get to this point of the "course-nearly-starting", and I am worried about my own capabilites and if I can actually manage to focus and study for the whole year!
But hey, I am going to give it a go... And yes, I am excited by the whole prospect0 -
Yeah, really looking forward to starting Uni as a mature student too - 42 now, 45 when I graduate - gulp!! Don't feel a day older than when I was 20 and travelling round Australia!! Hopefully I won't be behaving like your average 20 year old though....
Can't wait for it to start and get to grips with learning about something I'm really interested in - opted for International Development Studies in the end!
Good luck everyone!0
