  • I have 3 children a house that is being renovated (by ourselves) after building a 2 storey extension on it. A husband who is self employed (so we are generally skint) plus 1 mad dog and two cats and I still love going to uni.
Don't worry about the kids if they are off school you take them to uni with you thats what I do, also tutors are more understanding and they know that you are working really hard to do it all so you get good support.
I have also met some really great people along the way.

Don't worry about this either I transferred after my first year to a well established group in a different subject and they were really great and made me feel so welcome.:j

Yes, Summer is too long! I'd prefer to only have 4 weeks summer and get another term in, but thats me... Would be finished a year earlier because of it.

I don't mind having a long summer... as long as I have a job!

I've already had 6 weeks of holiday (finished my exams on the 16th June) and I have been SO bored - couldn't get a summer job unfortunately, so I am chomping t the bit to find out what I wil be doing come October! However, I'm finally starting to be proactive against boredom, and am catching up on some hobbies that got overlooked whilst I was busy with exams :)

  • I'm starting a Primary Teaching degree at the University of Worcester this September. Can't wait! I'll be a mature student at 23. We're moving to Worcester at the end of this month so I'll be settled in by the time my course starts and freshers week starts.

What will I be at 36 years old then!

I actually had a laugh at college being around young students, it was like their whole world was crashing down if they didnt have their cheap carry-out at the weekend! (God help them in the real world with responsibilites) Most amusing hearing the stories they would come out with hearing from their perspective, and with being the only female in the class I think I was like their mum!

I am 32 and there are quite alot of younger students in my year. I find it funny hearing them panicking about essay deadlines and going out getting drunk and doing their work at the last minute and then wonder why they got a 2:2/2:3. I have told a couple of them that I am going to mother them next year!
  • I am starting Worcester Uni in sept. I'll be 22 then. After three years of working since college i think it will be hard to get back into for a bit. good luck for everyone starting soon x:D
