What course are you gonna be doing? I start at Worcester Uni and I'll be 23. :beer:0 -
I'm going back to uni after a year out in Australia working in an underground coal mine... I'll be 23 in November so a good 2yrs older than most of my class.
I can't wait! Working for a living is over-rated and yes, I will be going out 3 times a week and doing my assignments at the last minute whilst working several part time jobs and volunteering. Love uniThe size of a glory hole in an open pit should not be greater than the cross-section of the haul trucks that dump into it. Otherwise, you are bound to lose a truck, sooner or later. I'm sorry for the demon I've become but you should be sorry for the angel you are not.0 -
I'm starting uni in september. Direct entry into 3rd year, so nervous.
But i'm sure i can manage it0 -
starting my 1st year in september, i'm 24 so classed as 'mature' too i suppose... how little they know me!
getting a bit frustrated at the moment as i got my results 2 months ago but still haven't got the official offer letter off my uni yet. i've met the conditions of my offer but i want it in black and white and on paper, damnitt!!
anyone else having house hunting stress? feel like i'm chasing my tail trying to get a place sorted, and am thoroughly fed up with landlords. there's no way i'm going into halls though, i'd end up mothering all the 18 year olds, or wanting to crack their heads together0 -

what age do you have to be, to be classed as a mature student?
I'm 22, and will be 23 in January, but i would NEVER class myself as a mature student.
To me mature students are 30+
Just seems strange to me, as i've seen lots of 20 somethings on here calling themselves mature students.0 -
Hi, sorry to hi-jack this thread but just wondered if anyone can help me out.
Im 31 and considering starting uni(leeds) in sept. I was made redundant in June and Im in the Property game hence its difficult to find work at the moment. Im just wondering how mature students out there coped financially? Im single and have rent and household bills to pay, luckily not much in the line of debts.
Im going full time but this is only 3 days a week (surveying course).
Did you get part time jobs etc? Is there any help out there?
Sorry again to hi-jack this thread.
Thank you
Tony0
