One thing about Wasp nests, they tend to only live in them once. Wasps can't survive our Winters (normally), and once a Wasp nest has been emptied they do not return.

If you've had a Wasp nest before, they best thing to do is leave it in place, then you'll find that no more wasps will build nests in your garden/roof or where-ever the nest was.

Thanks, thats a very useful thing to know Smeg. :money:
Never argue with a fool, they will lower you to their level and then beat you with experience.........!!!:rotfl::T

they will sting you if the mood suits what you gonna do if youve got a toddler oh dont worry it wont hurt the baby

if you kill one by splatting it its body gives of chemicals and others come to see whats going on and to Back it up

Heres how to get rid of them all

6 spray bottles of MR Muscle *Note* no other cleaner!!!

put all 6 bottles into one of those pump sprayers that are about £5 with the little hose on and hand gun at the end from home bargains etc

put some protective clothing on mask whatever theyll all be dead within about 5 seconds

and go for it spray spray spray

Or just get one bottle of wasp killer from the garden centre for less than 6(!) bottles of Mr Muscle :D

They should be dying off very soon anyway, a good hard frost will sort them.

    I love irony!:rotfl:
  • Not convinced that the poster who said leave the nest they don't come back is correct. There are several (old) nests in our loft and it seems we get a new one each year at the moment. I'd love to know how to dissuade them coming back...

They wont have a chance to come back, as soon as they vacate the nest I will remove the compost bag permanently...
I doubt I will be so lenient next year, I want my garden back.....
