Don't know if offer is still on - hand any old mobile in to Orange when you start a new contract - £100 off your bill.0

Well i got offered £2 for my Nokia 3330 which is boxed and in perfect working order. For £2 i would rather keep it for a spare.
I didnt get offered anything for my Nokia 6210 which is a great phone, with the best battery life i've ever had from a phone and is far better then a 3310.
I got offered £3 for my Sagem MY-X6, which is a photo phone and better than phones which a lot of other people are currently using. Again i think i'll keep this one. Funny enough a Nokia N91 was worth about £51...£200 less than ebay?A bargain is only a bargain if you would have brought it anyway!0 -

I just returned an old Nokia 3310 and a Siemens MT50 to Phones4U Trade In. http://www.phones4u.co.uk/tradein/tradein_request.asp
They gave me £10 for each phone, which is more than the £3.70 Envirophone quoted me. The site is not linked to from the Phones4U website but I don't think you need to have bought a phone from them to use the service.
The other bonus is that you don't need to send off the charger, just the phone!
Hehe, i sent you those cheques
You are meant to be with Phones 4 u, but they will accept any phones from any network. I know coz i'm the one that scans them in and sends the cheques off. 5 per person. You fill the form in yourself online and it shows you howmuch you get for each particular handsetLast bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0 -

This does look good. I have loads of ex company phones i need to get rid of and 3 of them are Nokia 3210s, which phones 4 u claim will pay me £10 for. They are on the 'orange' network though will this still be ok?!0 -
yes thats fine. Prices differ scheme to scheme.
T Mobile also run a scheme. have a look on https://www.t-mobile.co.uk/recycling for the price list. top money is £15 though but for 3210#s its only a fiver. You can either obtain a freepost bag call, 01708 683400 or send the phone with your name/address to FREEPOST, T-Mobile RecyclingLast bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0 -
Hi All
Whilst I appreciate we are all getting cash for our mobiles. (Yeah! Baby!)
The other aspect is that things don't end up in landfill - but it seems weird that these companies don't want the chargers - I guess most of the phones go abroad?!?
So what can we do with the chargers (no rude suggestions) and hands free kits and such like????
Anyone have any cunning plans for these??0 -
Chargers can be sent in with the mobiles to phones 4 u, t mobile and for most charities. They will be sold alongside any handsets that are reused and sold abroad.
Nobody wants stuff put in landfill, thats why these companies exist. Any old handsets are taken apart and each piece is recycled. Including chargers that dont work. The plastic is melted down, metals sent off to be melted down etc.
Same goes for any accessories or packaging.
Well they do at the company i work for anywayLast bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0 -
Hi Cantcope
Thanks for the reply, but can we send off just the charger to these companies, say if the handset has been sold to a company that doesn't want them e.g. Mopay?
I'm not looking for cash for them (but would be nice) but just to do the right thing.
Cheers0 -
yes of course you can. you can send them to my co. and we will recycle or reuse them. We don't run any schemes which would pay out for chargers unfortunately.
i'll pm you the details.
Also for anyone who isnt interested in the cash but wants their old mobile recycled (even the old bricks) we run a scheme for children in need where they will get a fiver for each handset recycled.Last bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0
