They would make a yummy curry. Fry some onion, add turmeric and some coconut milk. Other veggies such as courgettes or green beans are fine too. Right at the end, add your prawns to cook through and then serve over rice. With a tomato/onion/cucumber relish and some bread, you have a gorgeous meal.

I have a couple of packets of ready cooked king prawns.

Can I heat them for a meal or do they have to be eaten as they are?

    Any suggestions?

  • I think you can do either.

If I am having them hot, I cook the sauce, then fling the prawns in at the end of cooking, just to heat them right through.
I also add them into my prawn cocktails, so just defrost then add them to the cocktail sauce.

They'll be fine to reheat as long as you warm them through to piping hot. It's a fine line though making sure that they don't become overcooked and rubbery.

This thread might give you some ideas for using them.

    Hi talulla,

I love them cooked in garlic butter served with salad as a starter.

There's an earlier thread with lots of ideas that should help so I've added your post to it to keep the replies together.
