    Hi redballoon,

We have a very similar recent thread, so I have merged your thread into it as it makes it easier to find all the replies in one place.

    Hi

Does anyone have any ideas for a marinade for king prawns which we intend to bbq? Went to one a while ago and they had used fresh lime with other ingredients?

    Thanks

The marinade is made up of oil and an acid (like lemon or lime) but when marinading fish of any kind, be aware that you don't need to leave them in the marinade for too long (unlike meat) because it will effectively 'cook' the fish.

No special recipe to offer, but some fresh lime squeezed over with some olive oil and then maybe some fresh chopped herbs of your choice? Or chopped dried chillie flakes instead of herbs! Or, ask the hostess of the bbq for her recipe? :):)
