Evening all,
Very late to-day...went to see DD4's apartment with her this morning....she is very pleased as she didn't know until to-day which one it was....2 nice sized bedrooms, living room with real fire, smallish kitchen and really nice sized garden, have told her that she will have to start growing veggies in all that space...she can't move in yet as there are railings they are having to raise height of, but she is hoping that they might let her do some tiling and stuff, as it seems that the move will be the week she starts work!
Happy birthday Jayward...nearly over now I know but the intention is good.:bdaycake:
Halight ....delighted to hear that you may get your job back....even part-time would be great as I know that you are so anxious to work but might be all you could manage at present if you are still feeling tired.
OH and I decided this morning to take DD2 and her girls to Kerry for the weekend on Saturday...we will stay until Wednesday and then come back on the train (free) while she goes on to Cork to visit her friends and siblings. Hope that the weather is good but don't mind really as we always go prepared for anything!
Got some washing dry to-day, OH cooked dinner, we had some lovely pork chops that I bought this morning....nicest pork I have had for ages, they were bone-in, almost 5 lbs weight and cost €6.50 so felt that I had a bargain.
Hugs to all who are in need or want of one, any newbies who have 'snuck' in without being noticed, congratulations to all who are celebrating...thank you all for being my friends.

Hi Chums,
a bit late posting but just off to bed shortly.Went to JL in B'water and had a look around their food hall.Very nice but full of a lot of stuff I wouldn't think of buying.
Very well-spoken lady in front of me (all twin-sets and pearls) I overheard saying on her mobile 'Oh my dear its wonderful what you can buy ready made' and promptly spent the next ten minutes telling her friend about these fabulous dinky little meals, most of which I wouldn't give to the cat let alone put into my microwave. She said, and I kid you not, 'It will be so nice to whip up a special dinner for ones friends without having to beg the housekeeper to work late on a Saturday evening and it means that hubby can get well and truly squiffy and not have to get the chauffuer out to run us home from a resteraunt .James(seemed to be her 'hubby') get so cross at having to pay him extra in the evenings:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:...I love listening to other folks conversation especially when its so daft as hers was.She was dripping with gold and her handbag would have fed me for 6 months I think.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Its a different world from normal folk, but I did manage to buy some mushroom ketchup and a small pot of creamed Barts Garlic.I did ask if they had 'lazy garlic' but was met with mystified looks .Got my free bag for life which was HUGE and I am going to keep my stock of wool in it that I use for my charity blankets.
DD and I had a nice lunch in the new Leons and at just over 12 quid for the two of us we were pleased as the cups of latte were enormous and and we had a lovely chicken wrap each which was also very big. Nice and clean in there and we both said it was nice to find somewhere that gave good value food that wasn't just 'junk' stuff but actually well cooked and presented.Only thing we didn't like were the plastic knives and forks.
All in all a very pleasant day I bought her anniversary present whilst I was there and also her sisters as its both their wedding anniversaries next week.My eldest DD chose some bone china cups and saucers to go with some plates that I had bought her last year, and I bought a nice cut glass vase for the youngest DD.Also spent a tenner in Lakeland with some L&L boxes but it was a nice shopping trip.
Tomorrow I'm off to maidstone with youngest DD and tribe ,I think we're going to Mote Park if the weather is O>K. or shopping if it's not.Only had a tiny shower tonight and its very hot and sticky ,could do with a downpour to cool things down a bit.Right I'm off to have a read in bed as I have a new detective book which my DD has lent me
Night all

Hi all. I'm having a bit of a disaster - maybe. I bought a breadmaker after much to-ing and fro-ing and tonight's the night. I've filled it up and switched on but it won't let me change any of the options at all. It's a Panasonic SD255 - anyone any idea what I've done cos currently I'm on course for something being ready about 3am

Many thanks in advance:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Just hold the on/off button down and it will stop and you can reset it.

Hi guys,
I've missed you lot - sincere apologies to those who have worried but I hit a bit of a blip. Something I saw on the thread really upset me and combined with other stuff I just felt unable to post for a while. Please forgive me ?
Life poodles along as usual and I am still struggling to keep everything together allthough as time goes on it is becoming easier - I can't explain it really - I expect it is just that I am coping better.
The kids have had some sort of virus over the last week and allthough it only lasted a couple of days each it has been a tiring experience as they decided to have it in sequence - as only kids can - I'm awaiting my dose.
We are in the middle of prettying the back garden and all the borders are dug out of the HUGE weeds and tomorrows project will be to power wash the patio and the begin painting the fence. I want to get some more Azaeleas (sp) for the front and some rockery plants for the rockery and then both front and back will be done and tidy. I have hit a bit of a blip and not done much more than basics for a while now.
I just don't have the energy to do more than a bit at a time - but I have started doing that little bit more each day. I think I was getting depressed as so much needs doing and it feels overwhelming.
Anyway - I'm off with the kids for 3 weeks and the 2 eldest -bless them - are up for helping which is a bonus on last year and our relationship feels a lot more stable. Especially with DS1, the holiday in Cornwall really has cemented a change and he is a different child, no more peeing everywhere and they all got marvellous school reports (cue a £20 bonus from mum).
DD had her birthday 2 weeks ago and we happend to be at the mall that day and she popped 20p in to a grab the teddy machine and won one wrapped with a tenner - huge demands for more money but I said no and that she should look at that as her birthday present from her dad, bless her - she now cuddles it every night. She went on her 1st camping trip with the school at the end of term and insisted on taking her blanket that you all contributed to with her as she said that it was full of love and would remind her of home.
Anyway, belated happy birthdays, anniveraries to all those I have missed and hugs to all in need. I hope you aren't too miffed with me for my absence.
