  • not sure if i should have something like this (which is totally my cup of tea shoe-wise on any given day) or a lower heel - the dress stops dead at my ankles.

Those are VERY cute! Mary Janes are the in thing with Mad Men being a BIG influence on fashion at the moment

  • Things I've got so far:

    Date to give notice
    Registry office for ceremony
    My dress
    Photographer
Room, table cloths, chair bows for reception

Still need everything else lol, but at least I can start on invites now we have all the relevant dates/times/places.

  • Well, we are nearly sorted for 25th June!
We have booked the registry office for the wedding, a really nice barn with views of the fells in the Lake District for the reception, we are having a barbeque for the food in the evening (afternoon tea and cakes for the registry office guests- yum!) and I have the photographer booked for pre-wedding and wedding shoots (very exited about that- way over budget but that was the one thing I really wanted....what else?
I nearly have the bar sorted, just have to do tables and chairs, and get bridesmaids dresses...oh, and also hoping to buy my dress cheap as a sample, as I am cutting it a bit fine for ordering one...well, very fine!
  • Oh so exciting to see so many people getting married in june. Im getting married 18th June 2011 and cant wait :).
Im a fairly organised person and have nearly everything got (and on a budget).
Startin to make my invites now to get them out of the way, oh good tip for this if your printing on card, my ink in printer had gone done and was going to cost £50 for new ones which is so steep, but found out ya can photocopy into card. So if ya print one invite template onto page then photocopy this into card, looks fab and will only cost about 10-20p per copy, great saving cause you ll get 2 invites onto A4 card depending on size.

Just wanted to say welcome nettie30, another 18th June bride to be :j
You sound very organised indeed. I get the photocopying part for the inside text, what are you doing with the front of your invitations?
:grinheart It's Mrs Coupon now - saving and comping my way to a brighter future :grinheart
  • Hey misscoupon :),
Im not doing a card style invite but done a poster kind of thing ( like all the info on a card lol). Doing black card on background and then cut white card few cms smaller for inside, looks really nice.
Im gettin really excited for wedding, cant believe its under 4 months now, woo hoo!!! :)

    OMGG.......sorry......having MAJOR problems!

I was told by the manager of the reception venue we had booked that they were going to be putting disabled toilets into the venue for people that needed it and it turns out that he's not going to be able to in time for the wedding..........RUBBISH!!

Now need to find another venue that has everything we need........and we only have 3 and a bit months to do it!! ARGH!!!!!!

I've got 2 lots of family on the venue hunt and I've got a list of numbers of places to call tomorrow :)

I wouldn't be bothered; I'd just get married and then go home, but it's the family that are important :)
