    YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY......sorry I'll calm down now!

We MIGHT have a wedding reception venue!!! Going to look at it tomorrow but it seems to be EVERYTHING we need!

I'm so so so happy that we can now maybe get on and finish planning everything else!!

  • ages since ive been on here, hows everyone getting on? Less than 15 weeks to go :D

Just ordered our wedding rings yesterday! Ive been looking at mine for 2 years and each year its gone up £50 :( But we got 10% off both rings, so i cant complain too much. Mine was 425, and his was 75. Got them from ernest jones so got them both for £450! Paying £45 over nine months interest free :D Just out of generally being nosy how much you have all budgeted/spent on your rings? :rotfl: My OH didnt want a more expensive ring, as this one was made of tungtsen a really strong material and a more grey colour than silver, so to him its more 'manly' Was yours alot more expensive then your 0H too? Gunna have to be careful on my fin ger from now on, pretty soon itll be worth a grand :rotfl:

Gunna make a start on the legal forms next week, and getting OH suits etc on the 12th ... Oh and its my hen weekend next week!
  • My wedding ring will be more expensive than OH's. I still haven't settled on one yet, but he chose one in H Samuel's for £49.99 and I found it on Amazon for £20.80 and ordered it. :rotfl: Just hope it turns up ok now.

    =(

Our rings were from F Hinds, mine was reduced £100 and h2b was reduced to £150. They also take scrap gold so took a few bits down there and opted for vouchers for a bit extra, i ended up replacing my engagement ring with the vouchers (which desperately needed it!) which entitled us to 10% off our wedding rings and still had another £30 left over in vouchers towards the rings!

  • wow, don't really want to count how many weeks i've got. Been so busy at work this past wee while so not really had time to come on here.

Am starting to get through my list of jobs though.

    Invites - finishing this weekend.
Hen night - hopefully planned and booked by this weekend!
outfits - i'm sorted, 2 bridesmaids sorted, mum sorted, other half and other men measured up for kilts
cake - mum has made the 2 fruit layers - i need to do the fimo cake topper at some point
    flowers all organised at florist
balloons - got prices - just need to book.
photos/video - have organised people to take photos and video footage of the day (OH is a whizz with photoshop and video editing so we just needed someone to take photos and someone to film, then we'll do all the rest!
honeymoon - have started pricing it up. it's defo not MSE but we've not had a hol in about 3 yrs and need a treat!

i've made lists for each month. pretty much done with February list - March list has got lots of crafts on - need to finish all stationery, and make the favours, and maybe make a start on the centre pieces for the tables - have got purple and white wooden roses for those. Cant wait to start uploading some photos of my crafts.

Our rings were £110 for mine and £190 for his, we're looking forward to collecting them!!

Not much else to buy now, so i'm concentrating on the info pack and my flowers. I'm also considering investing in new suitcases for the trip. H2b's is really old and shabby (not chic!) and mine is rather small and cerise pink - not a look I go for in my luggage these days, but i've had it since i was 18!
saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.
We're 29% of the way there...

My ring is £200- My mum gave me my nana's old yellow gold wedding ring (which is really thin after 50 years of her wearing it) so I am getting it made into my wedding ring, by having 2 white gold bands either side of it to match my engagement ring... OHs is going to be about £400 because he decided that he wants palladium, and chose a design similar to how mine will look with a yellow gold inlay in the middle
