Regaining my sparkle! Milly's diary part 2

(Actually I've just seen it's the afternoon now....oh well:rolleyes:)

Had a lovely lie in today - woke up at 9ish and sat with the laptop til 10. I've pottered about a bit, just having a cuppa and pootle on here for 10mins.

So far I've done 2 loads of washing....basket is empty now...well, until girls reappear later with a bag of crumpled stuff which then needs a wash:p I spent a while sorting through my big jewellery box....threw odd and naff stuff out, cleaned a few necklaces and dumped some bits on the girls....they'll love them! I put pins all along the sides of my shelf unit and hung up all the necklaces I have (I have more than I thought;)) - that now sounds a bit weird but it looks fine:o So dressing table (well it's the top of my chest of drawers, girls got my dressing table as my room's too small!) - it looks nice and tidy and dust-free!!

I now need to tidy the kitchen, sweep and mop the floor then I can hang the washing on the airer.

Later on I want to look at my money - write an up to date direct debit/incomings list for Jan and update all my debt totalsk....they're old in my sig.

Lovely Flying_Fresian kindly sent my a couple of spreadsheets to use....but maybe I'm being really dippy and can't get it to total up anything Have plugged in a few figures but no joy.....I'm going to investigate basic spreadsheets!!

I really, really want to get all inspired and motivated again - I love it when everything is in order and I'm in control of everything. I *think* I'm on the right tracks right now, but am sure this time last year I was more organised.

If you like I can send you the AMAZING SPREADSHEET OF WONDER from cw18 - it's an annual one. Looks scary to begin with but it's not bad to play with. Can't send it until a little later though as it's on my laptop.

Milly now you're at Uni you should have access to free training on such things as spreadsheets, you will be able to book and attend a short class as a one off for each level or you should be able to get an access code for on line training.

Good thinking KM (I always think I'm talking to myself when I call you KM as that's my *real life* initials:p).
I'll look into that - been emaning to for years. I'm fine with Word, can merrily whizz up stuff on there, but spreadsheets scare the living daylights out of me.....I feel really thick when it comes to them:D

If you look on your uni website and log in you should be able to see all the short courses (couple of hours usually) they do on computer training and will probably have drop in times where you can just pop in and ask them to take you through the basics so you could time it with the day you are in Uni.

Ooooooooh I've just made a little (very little) spreadsheet for the bank account I have with girls money in it! It's an account where I put their pocket money/ebay sales and it's both their money, so have usually just noted it down on scrappy bits of paper - but now it's in a pretty spreadsheet ready to add more money and update their individual totals and grand total!
