Your plans for Christmas sound fun, hope lunch goes well today.
Did you say you know what date your op is now, I can't remember?
Hiya KM - no date for the op yet, just got an appt with the surgeon chap on Jan 15th.....so no idea about how long from then the op will be....Easter??:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

:santa2: Happy Christmas Milly to you and your girls.
I've been a lurker on your diary since you started. Well done to you for all you've achieved (despite your OH) and good luck with your university course. Enjoy the day and your school holidays.0 -
Hiya Maman and thanks for de-lurking:D
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas:p I'm now home again and girls have just gone with their dad til tomorrow night. I'm absolutely shattered though - poor DD2 has a cough that only comes out at night...3 nights in a row I've been up with her...last night was the worst, it just didn't let up til about 4am:eek: At least tonight I know I'll get a good rest:rolleyes: Hope she's ok though, bless her.
We had a good couple of days with sis and her family and my mum and stepdad. Lots of food, wine on Xmas day (was too tired for it yesterday!) and girls had a fab time with their cousins.
My sis and I went shopping this morning - Next sale....and I spent the grand total of....£0:T:T It was rubbish - nothing at all in there, so saved myself money. I spent £1.70 in Asda on some velcro to fix youngest's JLS pencil case, £12 in Boots on make up removers, lipsalves and a reduced necklace/earrings set, £4, my only treat!!
The house is looking vaguely tidy again - I sorted the lounge as soon as we got back, so have room to lie on the sofa now:p
I'm going to spend some money on tuesday....feel a bit naughty.....:o I'm buying a new tv for the lounge.....the one we have now is one the ex bought about 3years ago and it has a very annoying line through the screen where a pixel went...also the idiot keeps wittering on that it's 'his' tv...so I thought, fine, have it back - I'll buy myslef a much better one - with my own cash...not on credit as he does:rolleyes::rolleyes: Have reserved a lovely big one in Argos and bro in law is going to come help me get it, my car's too small! Also, I had bought the girls a tv for their room for Xmas....but when I tried it, the freeview didn't work here...useless aerial, so I didn't even tell the girls they were meant to have it, returned it and got £150 back....so that'll go towards the new one and make me feel like I'm spending less on it.....:rotfl:
Ok....I think I've attempted to justify my new purchase enough.....;) Student loan in on Jan 10th too....I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
While girls are away tomorrow I need to sit down and get myslef in order for the new year too - I have a new notebook ready for recording DDs/outgoings and income. Might attempt a spending diary again but didn't do too well with that this year!
I've not paid off as much as I should have this year - but on the other hand I did save/ebay for our holiday and haven't added any more to my debt this year - nothing more on credit. Must sort out totals and think how's best to do it all. BBAM if you're reading....how on eart do you keep so damn organised?!!?!?!
Just the whole household organisation/housework/uni work etc seems to be piling up and I feel it could get all in a pickle and not in my control;)
Any ideas/tips etc welcome.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hi Milly
Glad you've had a nice time and that you can now get some much needed peace and quiet.
Good for you re the telly, like you say no credit so no harm and its sounds like you are like me and don't go out too often so its only the same as others spending on going out regularly, we have to have some treats. And let the ex stick it up his ****
As for keeping organised I too would like some tips!!!
Are you any good at spreadsheets they can help?0 -
Oh I've joined the £10 a day challenge too (opted for £5 this first time though) if you fancy trying to make some extra money.0

Merry Christmas Milly!
A couple of tips from me re: organisation...
Firstly, only confess on here that which you want to. A couple of people have said to me that I am very inspirational, doubt they would say that if they saw me with dishes piled high having Ben and Jerrys for teaMake your thread about your successes not your failures and it will soon become self-motivating!
Spreadsheets - only do as much as you want to with these. Someone on the 4k challenge has a spreadsheet that frightens the bejeesus out of me. I'm only at the pace of being able to add/subtract with my sheets, and that works fine for me! My current spreadsheets consist of:
Monthly budget one (Rarely changes unless a direct debit goes up/down.) I only use this to make sure I'm sending the right amount to the bills account.
4k Challenge one. I will be updating this as often as I can, but find that doing it daily bores me!
Christmas/birthdays. I set one up today with how much the gift is in terms of RRP, how much I paid for it and who its for. I'm hoping this will keep me nice and organised!
If you want to be more organised in terms of housework, look at the Old Style board and check out the Flylady thread. I really need to do more of this in the New Year!
Hope thats of some use.
