    Hi Rusty

I have a few motorbikey things that I could scan if you wanted me to.
Pm me if you'd like to see them

Managed to start a scrapbook page yesterday but the saga of the washing machine continues. John Lewis did deliver it yesterday but they didn't have any note on there list that they were supposed to be installing it. I'd paid extra to save me the trouble. Fair play to them, they were obviously having a bad day - the ice in Sheffield was appalling yesterday, I've never seen anything like it - but they said they'd do it.
Unfortunately, the numpty who fitted my kitchen has plumbed the pipes in a very difficult to access place so they tried and tried but just couldn't do it - which makes me fell a bit better about being unable to get the pipes off myself. Sadly the pipe won;t fit the new machine so they ahve to come off.
So I now have a washing machine but it's not fitted and it's in the middle of the kitchen floor so I have to squeeze by it to do anything. That should motivate me on weightwatchers!
So I have to try and get the kitchen company to come and have a go today. I don;t think thats unreasonable do you? It was only fitted in September.
The locksmith is coming back today to fix the handle he had to break when breaking in.

sally - well done for confronting your son, rather than stewing on it and getting crosser and more upset. Hopefully the girl you have spoken to can help him come out of his shell a bit and introduce him to a few people - fingers crossed for you.

    Ooooh some people!!!

Need to come on to have a rant (sorry people)

Dd has her Science GSCE exam this morning and the school bus didn't arrive. No problem brought her back to the house and phoned the school and a taxi - everything was under control and dd was calm.

Neighbour knocked at the door (whose daughter was in exactly the same position) completely panicked and ranting in front of the girls. Told her that her dd could come in the taxi but could I calm her down and get her to SHUT UP - nope. Result both girls in floods of tears. Had to shut door in neighbour's face and pull my dd into house for lots of love and hugs and cuddles to settle her down.

Anyway taxi arrived, I phoned school to let them know the girls were on their way - was reassured that the examinations officer knew as there was lots of kids in same position and that they were holding back the start-time until all the kids got to school. So neighbour's hystrionics were completely unnecessary :mad::mad:.

Think I need a stiff drink never mind breakfast.

Thanks for letting me rant - will now go and catch up with the thread from last night.

Will pop back later - (((hugs))) to anyone else who's had a carp start to the day,

    Morning Ladies

Thriftysctslass, it's good to get things off your chest, and this forum is the best place to do it as everyone on here gives some great advice.

Hooe your DD does well in her exams.

My son is away to college this morning - has Chemistry AS exam, but I kept my DD at home, she's 13 and she said there was hardly anyone in school yesterday and all they did was watch movies! Plus they weren't starting school until 10am.

This would've meant I'd need to drive DS into college, drive to work, drive home, drive DD to school, drive home again, drive back to work again, and then drive home again, I just wasn't doing it! lol
