sounds awful CT, fortunately they closed our eldest's school this morning (4th day in the last 2 weeks) so other than a snowball fight in the garden, we've stayed warmly snuggled in the house watching rubbish on tv and eating!!
My stocks of handmade paper are running low on certain colours and I got mine in a bulk load reduced in Hobbycraft, any suggestions where I can get some reasonably priced? It's the thick pulpy textured type of handmade paper xxTesco Clubcard - £50, Boots Advantage Card - £4 , Nectar points - 1846 :T
I love Martin, he's saved me a fortune!!!:money:0 -

I've actually picked up packs of this kind of paper - lots of different sizes from A4 to smallish strips from the Poundland recently - all different colours.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -

Probably not money saving, but I'll go get baby wipes when I'm out next.
Can you get cardstock from Tesco/Sainsburys? Or use something as a cardstock replacement?
Get the alcohol free ones Saucy. I find the pound shop ones, or Aldi/Lidl are usually alcohol free.
If you use a Stazon ink pad and don't want your rubber to be permanently stained then buy the Stazon stamp cleaner. I just use it because I'm pernickity and a perfectionist and couldn't bear to have a stained stamp .
As for cardstock, do you just want some basic white to cover with papers, or some to stamp on? We have a printers near us and I go there and buy my basic white card from him, he cuts it to size for me. Don't forget about the weight of the card. If it's for your card blank then I'd say 240gsm plus, maybe a bit more, so that it will stand up. If it's for stamping your image and then matting/layering onto your card blank then you can go a fair bit less and I bought some from Asda, 160gsm I think, maybe 200gsm. Also have a look in Staples.0 -
Quick question - how do you all find the blogs with the challenges on, do you do some sort of search
. I only know of a few by visiting some of your blogs and seeing what you entered your cards into, but wondered if there was a way to find out what else is around.
Thanks

Hahahaha CT, It's kind of ironic that you found some at poundland, I haven't been there since Christmas for the show but was just saying to DH yesterday I want to pop in. He did yesterday but all he came home with was lots of chocolate!!!
Good question about the blogs, I've always wondered that one too.
I love the easel card TomsMom, it never ceases to suprise me how many new ideas people come up with for cardsTesco Clubcard - £50, Boots Advantage Card - £4 , Nectar points - 1846 :T

Toms Mum - Thank you so much. You've been a lifesaver today! You've taught me so much
My name is Elle, by the way, although I don't expect anyone to remember it!

I've been playing with my Cuttlebug this afternoon, trying out the partial embossing on Ikki's Cuttlebug Cupboard blog. After a lot of messing trying to get enough layers of card to make the MFP, getting it wrong, starting again, then realising the cardboard I was using was getting squashed 'cos it's got the corrugated stuff in the middle , I eventually got it to work. I may have to add another layer to my MFP eventually but I'd dead chuffed with the result.
So I'm all behind with the thread now but have had a quick look at Rusty's bag - gorgeous. I wouldn't even attempt that as I know I'd make a right hash of it and end up swearing.
Sunrise, love your easel card.
Sally, your Countdown card is brilliant!
I'm sure I've missed something out, sorry. Will try to catch up later.0
