Email recieved, and replied, and sent you another one! Thankyou so much xxx

I have been busy making a bag!! ... actually I am quite proud cause I struggled with all the folding and scoring (just because I am so thick!) and yet I think it looks pretty! Plus I can enter it in for 2 challenges!!

Edit I was being even thicker and thought I could enter it into 2 challenges ... actually I did enter it into 2 challenges then saw the small print on one so had to quickly delete and edit my blog aswell as delete the comment on their blog :rotfl:

I'm using a black Vibrance. stamp, but it took a long time to cover the stamp, and even when printed its so very pale. I've coloured it in, but even though I'm using light brown (it's a bear) the colour overpowers the stamp lines. Is this a bad stamp or do I need to put more ink on? I'm a complete newbie to stamps but I'd love to get it right :)

Also, is baby wiping the stamp okay to clean it? Or is there a special way? I thought there would be instructions but there isn't, sorry to be a pain!

It could be a number of things, it could be the kind of card you are stamping onto, it could be the ink pad itself, it could be how hard you are pressing on the stamp, it could be that you need more ink on. Without seeing it or trying it then I really can't help! sorry.

I use baby wipes to clean my stamps, but I am too tight to buy any stamp cleaner!!

I use baby wipes on my stamps too, i cant see the point of paying more for stamp cleaner ( that extra money can buy me more stamps ) ;)

    Morning Ladies

    How is everyone?

Well the day has finally arrived for OH to go for his CT scan, I only hope he doesn't fall on his way out from the house to the car and from the car to the hospital, it's like an ice rink on the roads here.

He's also worried that he won't be able to lie in the position they want him to, as he only had 2 hours sleep last night and is in absolute agony with his sciatica. He rang GP to ask if he could take anything to help him and she said just to take some Paracetemol on top of his Tramadol, so not much help really, and he really needs to find out what this CT scan will show.

Anyway, as if that's not bad enough, I went into my son's drawer this morning to put some underwear away and found a packet of cigarettes (half empty) and a lighter. He's not like normal boys where he does lots of boy things like active things and doesn't go out with friends at all, he's very much a loner and was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome a long time ago, but only mildly, it only really affects his socialisation skills and makes him come across as very shy and quiet. I can't tell you how shocked, angry I am, as he's always going on about how awful smoking is and to be honest I never dreamed he would ever start as he knows how I feel about smoking. I even asked him months ago if he was and he denied it. So I guess it's the lying that upsetting me too. I want to scream and shout at him, I want to not believe that he's started smoking and just don't know what to think anymore.

Just to keep on topic, I did manage to get some time to make this birthday card for a work colleague.

Brilliant card Sal, my gran would have loved this, she was Countdowns biggest fan.
  • I used a make up remover wipe...it seems to have survived!! It smells lovely now, too.
Probably not money saving, but I'll go get baby wipes when I'm out next.

Can you get cardstock from Tesco/Sainsburys? Or use something as a cardstock replacement?
