Hello all :j
Rusty - super bag -well done:T
Sally - thinking of you today and hope all goes well.
As for your son -well I've been that route with some of the boys we care for -they already arrive with the 'habit' and I've found the best way is to not make too big a deal about it, just explain the negative side and that its not allowed in the house.
He could be worried about your OH and is using cigarettes as a 'comfort' if you know what I mean, particularly if he's not a social sort of boy.
Good luck x
Super card -be ideal for my OH.............when he has a lay down in the afternoon he watches Countdown.........:rotfl:
Well, can't believe its taken me till now to make a couple of cards suitable for males to add to MIL's card box............still, its all done now, finished :TI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I thought i was having a bad day ... Glad to hear it was Rusty :rotfl::rotfl: Wel i thought my lappie was playing up
I use baby wipes on my stamps too, i cant see the point of paying more for stamp cleaner ( that extra money can buy me more stamps )
I have no excuses this time, I think I need to start back on the painkillers as when I was on them I wasn't this dippy!! :rotfl:
I sent the email to THE-WIFE, she has replied from her holidays saying she will be back at the weekend :j :j :jRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
I DID IT!!
I've got a really cute stamp. It's a small one, rather then the big one I jumped in with, but it's still good.
Annoyingly, I got a little bit of black ink on the wood and the baby wipe isn't bringing it off. It'll drive me mad now, but it's my own fault!Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
lol Saucy give it a couple of months or so and they will be covered and you wont think twice about it! :rotfl: As long as it still stamps ok some of mine are covered where ive had inky hands etc!!Win £2012 in 2012 challenge 0/2012

. Sorry to hear about your upsetting day, I haven't got any advice but sending you a huge hug and a cyber bar of chocolate xxx
Rusty, the bag on your blog is gorgeous :T, I love the pink and brown and the shape of it, you're one clever lady xxx I've made several things this week too, got a couple of sketch cards for challenges half done, hope to get them finished tonight. There's a fab looking sketch on the Quixotic blog, go have a lookFab news that you heard from thewife, I was hoping she was ok and will be back here soon x
After saying they would stay open all day, DS1's school shut at lunchtime , my friend picked up DS1 with her son then came back to ours for hot chocolate with marshmallows and biscuits. I got the better end of the deal I think
Need to start making dinner, a chicken and rice recipe from Fay Ripley torn out of a magazine. Better get cracking or it will be beans on toast and chicken for tomorrow
Stay safe everyone xxx:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hi everyone, so sorry I've been away for so long, with the tv show, still trying to get settled in the new house, Christmas, family visits etc etc, I just haven't had a minute.
I actually got a Cuttlebug for Christmas off my parents (I had asked for it!) but now struggling to find good value dies. I really want some alphabet dies and I know with the Cuttlebug I can use most brand of dies with the adapters, but has anyone got any suggestions on where to start my die collection. Naturally, money is really tight, so if the dies are more than about £12-£15 I'm not sure I can afford them as I'm in the process of hoping to give my office an overhaul as I've seen a brilliant corner desk.
Hope everyone had a good Christmas, I haven't made any cards since before Christmas but really need to do a couple as have some birthdays coming up and the lady next door had a baby at the end of december.
Missed everyone xx

Well done on your win flourgirl, £25 is better than nothing.
Sal, your countdown card is brilliant. Thinking of your OH today and hope the CT scan went well. Let us know how you got on. Sorry to hear about your son and cigarettes, hope you are able find out why. I know how you are feeling about the lying, it is something that I find hard to tolerate.
Craftygranny – glad to hear that Carly is OK. If you need anymore cards for fundraising, just give us a shout, and I’ll happily make some. Meant to ask how you got on with the ‘cart’ you were going to have in a shopping centre, to sell bits for Alicia before Christmas?
Marg – I was wondering if you wanted to send another load of cards out to the forces for Valanties, like we all did with Christmas Cards. I’ll happily make some if you do.
Fab bag Rusty. I’m going to attempt to do a card for the allsorts challenge tonight.
We have had more snow today. Tried to drive to work for a meeting this morning, got about 2 miles in an hour, the roads were too dangerous, so made the decision to turn around and go home, but it took me another hour to get there. The meeting was moved to London, and when I left to catch the bus there weren’t any, so ended up walking 4 miles to the nearest tube station. Started out for work at 7 this morning and finally made it to London for the meeting at 12 – I was not a happy bunny. Home safely now and it only took 2 hours!2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000
