SaucySecrets - I've only had a little look so I might find one cheaper tomorrow when I've got a bit more time. Papermaze have a 20% off everything offer on at the minute which brings their bind-it-all down to about £40:
http://www.papermaze.co.uk/customer/cart.php
trouble is postage is £3.75.
When I first ordered mine I bought loads of the 1/2 and 3/8 inch wires because they were the cheapest, but I wish I hadn't now - they are too small to close around my pages - so I'd buy the bigger sizes. Also a lot of places sell them in packs of 6 or singly - if you're starting out I'd just buy a single wire to see what size/colour you like. They come in 12 inch strips - I get 6 notebooks out of each strip. Also you can buy the proper pages and covers by zutter but they're quite expensive - I tend to cut my pages myself and buy either chipboard for the covers or use thick card - e.g from cereal boxes! If you want to know anything else - just ask - I'll see if I can find the machine cheaper. Oh - and another thing - make sure you have a decent set of pliers to cut the wires. I didn't bother buying any and just used a rusty old pair that we had - I really struggled cutting my wires and ruined a few. I bought the proper pliers recently in a sale somewhere and they're so much easier to use.0 -
Craftygranny How are things at your end? I hope all the littlies are doing ok and things are a bit more settled for you
Thank you . my daughters ex is still causing huge problems but the police are sorting that.
Carly is doing really well but is frustrated as she can't hear anything at all until her switch on in feb. She hasn't got to bang her head and this morning i caught her on the roof of the dolls house laughing . think she needs a skull cap like rugby players do they make them for two year olds:rotfl:
Alicia's mum is having a visit from the macmillan nurses and someone from the hospital next week to explain more about her op and they have now learned that when she gets back from the treatment in the us she will probably have to have chemo in the uk . She said she doesn't need to go to the us as her head is all better now bless her. If only.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

Thank you so much Mel, I really appreciate you taking the time to help me
I'll get on to finding some pliers...I've just seen a Cricut Expression, and now I want one of those too...a bit out of my price range atm though! Boyfriend has said he'll buy me a Bind It All if I can find a decent priced one, though, which has made me excited.
Got my first set of stamps coming in the morning...I'm rather excited. I've got no idea how to use them, but trial and error I suppose!
I love this thread, everyone is so friendlySignature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -

Craftygranny I'm pleased things are going your way just now, the little ones are so brave and its probably just as well they dont really understand whats happening. Its enough that the adults are worried out of their minds, the main thing is to try and stay positive. If you need any more things for your fundraiser you only have to shout, its the least I can do for you all. xx0

Thank you for your replies regarding the american sites, it was more the digi images I was thinking about. Now I know what to expect it makes things easier for me to be tempted0

Craftygranny - sorry to hear you're still having problems - what a nightmare! What a cutie Alicia is - when is her op?
Saucy - you're welcome! I've had another look and its still the cheapest I can find - unless you can get one 2nd hand from ebay!
Craftygranny _ I've just had a quick look and it looks like the prices are the same in the U.S.
Dragonflew - I wasn't ignoring you - the link to your blog didn't work, here it is:

your allsorts card is lovely - I love how you've used the strips of paper. Your recipe card is really pretty - those papers are fab! Your wedding invites are stunning I love the embossed heart. Your other challenge cards are gorgeous too - the colouring on your images really compliments the papers that you've used.0 -
Thanks for this Marg - i'll have a play with it later.
My neice went back to Greece on Sunday, having not taken her driving test. She was absolutely gutted as she'd been here almost 4 weeks and it was cancelled due to the weather, and the conditions of the roads around here. Just waiting for a new date for her to come through, apparently she will be issued with a priority date, as it wasn't her fault it was cancelled, so hopefully this will be within the next 3 or 4 weeks, in which case she will fly over for a few days to take the test and pass it. She is also gutted as her parents bought her a smart car, and she can't drive it until she passes. Thanks for asking.
xx
Awww thats unlucky!! OH's bike test was cancelled on Friday cause of the weather! although no one bothered to tell him  Fingers crossed for her passing her test .... My first car was a MK 2 escort, but I was working in germany and my mum called and told me about a funky little car she had seen, I had to find out more and 1 week later I took all my hard earned cash and bought myself a left hand drive smart car!! (they were all left handed then!) I loved my smartie and wish I still had it now!!! she will love it!craftygranny wrote: »Thank you . my daughters ex is still causing huge problems but the police are sorting that.
