Rainmac, I'm going to get a slow cooker when I can be bothered to go to Argos - know the one I want. I have a feeling we used to have one but never used it:o I'm determined to find some nice easy stew like recipes that the boys will like. DH is veggie so he'll just have to miss out (although I spotted a nice braised mushroom recipe I might attempt - can't imagine what mushrooms will be like after 8 hours though!)

I love my slow cooker, a nice easy one for me is cook from frozen diced beef, raw carrot and raw potato with a chopped onion (and possibly tin chopped toms if I fancy them and a liter of crazy/stock and leave it to cook, 1 hour before serving chuck in mushrooms

Thanks Lyndach - I think I'll go and get one tomorrow and see what I can do with it!

Furrypig - lovely card. Did you use a nestie for the fancy scallop edging -it's gorgeous.

Furrypig - That is gorgeous! Did you use a stamp for the picture? I've been looking at getting some, but they look so hard! Yours look so professional, got any tips? :P

    Hello all - :j
More of the white stuff again today and looks like its carrying on for a few days yet:eek:I'm turning into a real recluse and getting a bit fed up looking at the same view out the window but daren't take the chance of walking on our dodgy pavements...........I'll stay in a keep warm.
Made some more cards for MIL (decided I didn't like some I'd done), messed about filling in a bit more of my family tree book and that was it............real lazy day.

Marg - will pass on recipe to OH. We've got a slow cooker, he's head chef on account of me being c**p anywhere near an oven and we've got a load of lamb in the freezer.
Many thanks for the package received this morning......:T I'm really going to have to get one of those things that does those shapes............do you have to get one that adjusts to all sizes or buy several ?
Bit of a meanie bags I am -well not really, just budget only allows so much.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Furrypig I love your challenge card, the stamped image is sooo cute and the scalloped circle is gorgeous.

Glittermum I'm glad you have got the knack for the ATG, its great for when you have a production line going, sooo much quicker than faffing with DST.

In the latest issue of Crafts Beautiful they are offering 1000 free books with this link... www.rucraft.co.uk/crafts-beautiful.php. You are supposed to pay p&p but when I placed my order and used the code the RUCraft site gave me (A1129), the order said free p&p :T. I have also received an email to say the order is on it's way. So ladies, may be worth a go if you are interested in one of the titles ;)

Thanks rainmac :T have managed to order one!! yay! :j
