Really happy with the result, and have loved making my last 2 cards using different sketches.

Lovely cards CT. I too have really enjoyed using the sketches, for me it's half the job as inspiration doesn't come easily. But also blog hopping since coming on here has taught me a lot about papers, layouts, using Nestie shapes etc. Really taught me how to update my style.

The card I've made for Jamtart's old skool stash challenge came to me quite easily compared to normal, simply because of what I've learnt recently.

My friend's pink Cuttlebug arrived today so she's been round to pick it up. She was thrilled to get a pink one at no extra cost. Only difference is that when I bought my green one it came with a C plate as well as the A and 2 x B plates, and the booklet had information about using other makes of embossing folders. The pink one has no C plate and the booklet doesn't give information about other embossing folders. Swings and roundabouts then. I'm happy with my green one and what came with it (just wish it was pink ;)).

P.S. What do you all do with the hundreds of cards you make? When we had our restaurant I used to sell a few but don't have an outlet now. My friend sells hers through a couple of local pubs, but she sells them far too cheap! She also is committed to making so many to keep her stock up, I wouldn't want that pressure. The market for cards in our little town is saturated now.

Think this is why I've not made so many, they take soooo long to make. I only seem to function if there's a deadline or purpose to them.

    Lovely cards! CT

I make them for my own use, just because I like doing them - 40 of the ones I made were wedding invites, that I offered to do for a friend. I guess the reason I have done so many, is that I am giving them now to people I wouldn't usually give to if I had to buy them (iykwim). Also i'd say about 30 of them were thank you cards for Christmas/Birthday/Teachers etc.

I have never really thought about try to sell them, as I don't have an outlet to do so. I couldn't take them into work like some people do, as there are only 2 of us in the office. Locally we have a card shop that sells nice cards for 30p, so I can't compete with that so I make them for me.

Since my OH bought me a craft robo for Christmas, I am contemplating making some up and having a box when I do a car boot sale, to see if there is any interest, and people are willing to pay £1.00 - £1.50 a card.
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

In the latest issue of Crafts Beautiful they are offering 1000 free books with this link... www.rucraft.co.uk/crafts-beautiful.php. You are supposed to pay p&p but when I placed my order and used the code the RUCraft site gave me (A1129), the order said free p&p :T. I have also received an email to say the order is on it's way. So ladies, may be worth a go if you are interested in one of the titles ;)

  • I ordered one too, really struggled to choose which one as I love two!
My Mad About Cards order was dispatched, but it still says 'paid' on The Glitter Pot, so I guess paying for faster delivery didn't help there!
I'm suffering today, so I don't think I'd get much done anyway, but I'd love to have the stuff too!
What's everyone else up too today?

    Thankyou Mrs! Appreciate it.

Sorry I missed your DS's birthday yesterday, not sure how I missed the post? Hope he had a fab day xxx

Hope everyone is ok? not suffering too much with the snow?

OH left aberdeen at 3pm, he was supposed to leave at 12 but someone has crashed their car on one of the main roads back and it was closed, the road is still closed now but he is going to try and find an alternative route! he is expecting another 6-7 hours of travelling to get home rather than the usual 4.
My SIL has taken the children out sledging so I am child free and chillling! :)

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this before but Craft Superstore is having a sale, some good bargains there with some items 75% off. I've just ordered a few things and as I had some loyalty points I redeemed those so got a good saving.

For those who like the new Honey & Hugs stuff, they have the stamps in - check out the rubber stamps section, they're not in the sale.

I probably should be apologising if I'm tempting somebody who shouldn't really be spending this close after Christmas :o, my excuse is my birthday is in a couple of weeks so I'm treating myself :D.
