I'm really struggling with getting things in the middle, for example the happy birthday sticker is really wonky. I'm useless doing things by eye - and I was trying to measure, but it still didn't come out right!

One piece of advice I was given when I first started using peel off stickers was to always put it on the card at a slant rather than straight as it would never look wrong whereas if you put it on straight then it would look wonky if not quite right - hope that makes sense.

That does make sense - thanks very much for the tip!
I am sure it looks fine!! ... Take a picture and blog it or post it on here :) ... then make another, in time you will notice your cards change. you should have seen some of my first efforts they were really really bad!!

I'm really embarrassed about posting them - when you all make amazing ones! I would be good to chart my progess though, so I will dig out my camera.

:( I've just used my eyelet setter for the first time and it's not going well. Firstly I think I've figured out that I don't have a setter attachment small enough for my tiny eyelets. And when I used my bigger eyelets I've still managed to smash them to pieces. Also managed to hammer en eyelet into my mat! oops.

Are crop a dile big bites worth the money? Seen one for £32 inc postage. Reviews on QVC seem to be a love em or hate em. But do the people who hate them use them incorrectly?

Deleted. I had a blonde moment. Rusty picked me up and saved me though. Thanks Rust :D

Don't be I still think mine are rubbish but other people seem to like them. An example I had an email today from a friend saying how much she had liked my cards and they were amazing!!!!!! (mind you she is a non card maker so could explain that lol). I couldn't work out what she was talking about at first then remembered that I have links to my web shots and blog on emails lol.

    Hi Jazabelle
I'm with Nannyboo1, Other people seem to like my cards as well but I am just starting out and think they are OK but not great! I started a blog so I could record my progress, taking photo's of all my cards, all 11 so far anyway!! It is all experience and you can only get better the more you practise!

    Good Luck

good luck starting out to all the new people! i used to count my cards too. then I lost track of actual numbers! How many do you all reckon you've made? I reckon about 6000 since 2003, I only know because I order cellophanes in bulk (1000's) to sell as it is cheaper that way.

I wish I hadn't done her hat blue - I think it would have been better in pink as well.

I thought you went for the normal cropodile??

Sorry I think I am getting confused ... QVC does the big bite for just under £32 but comes with loads of gromits.

I got mine from scrap revolution for £27 or £29 at the NEC

£32?! I bought mine from QVC , was £20 including postage and ended up with a first time customer discount code for £5 off - found it on the discount board.

I resisted for AGES. All of these money[STRIKE]spenders[/STRIKE]savers told me to buy one.

They are AMAZING! Goodbye hammer, goodbye strange springy thing.

Do it, you won't be sorry. They cut through chipboard amazingly. I'm not sure they come with the very tiny eyelet setter, like the diddy ones.

    CODE: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2159841&highlight=qvc

code has possibly expired but you have to ring them up directly to use it anyway, so give them a ring and say you want to set up a new account and here is my code. can't lose anything :)

edit again: i surveyed everyone on this by the way LOL! The big bite did well too as that can do the middle of the pages in 12 x 12, but i decided i would use the crop-a more as it is easier to get out/not as big.
