:rotfl:lol - glad its not just me - sometimes I scare myself at how stupid I can be!!0

ali - my 'rock band' I found on a Fathers Day craft site.......on there it was big pebble and 2 smaller ones all with goggle eyes sitting in a dish wish 'Dad Rocks' painted on the front of the dish.
I did mine a bit different...........just one big pebble with goggle eyes surrounded by just smaller pebbles -put them in a stone dish, got badges of a guitar and drums from local music shop and stuck them on, found a small piece of slate in the garden and painted '**** rocks' on it and stuck it on and that was that. Both sons are grown up now but were thrilled with it. Can't give you link -put it in my favourites and now it won't come up at all..........(the **** isn't something rude, its sons names...............lol)
Just googled and found it - www.daniellesplace.com/HTML/mengifts.html
Scroll right down the page till you see three pebbles in a dishI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I had a quick sneak a peak on your blog at your bookatrix and WOW!!! I love them all, my favourite one is the first though!! not sure I could make anything as beautiful!! Think I need to do some more digging for inspiration!
Well DS has gone visiting his dad til sunday leaving us 3 poorly people to wallow in self pity. OH really was ill this morning, his whole body has had an allergic reaction to his antibiotics so we had to call the doctor! luckily they have prescribed a different antibiotic so he is back on the road to recovery!
We also went to boundary mill as I had an invitation to their sale event (how posh do I sound!) anyway the invite gave me an extra 10% off everything including sale prices!! ... looked round the craft stuff and very very little was reduced!! very dissapointing! but I did spot the new range by papermania! wow it is so pretty! It is called Honey & Hugs.
guess what ... OH bought me some :j ... told me it was christmas again! .... so I have the 12x12 papers, decoupage & pyramyge, alphabet transfers and then some embellishments to match my DCWV sweet stack!! I am so chuffed :j
I only went in the vain hope that DCWV papers would all have some reductions. but nothing!! ... I am seriously tempted to buy bulk and try and sell what I don't need!! I can get 12x12 papers for £4 a pack but the shops sell them at £20 a pack!!!! only problem is that I have to buy 3 packs at a time etc!
thanks for showing the honey and hugs as there are piggies in that range so I will be keeping a look out for it! Very cute.
i think you should sell the the DCWV papers as I bet we would buy them on here plus you must e able to sell a few on ebay! You could just buy a few packs take pics put them on ebay and then see what people want and go back and buy more! Good luck with yr new business!!;)
Hope u r all feeling better xxx0 -
mary - I was wondering if anyone recycles or cuts up their cards for toppers or gift tags etc??
Also can anyone recommend any strong glue or sticky things I am trying to make a card with ribbon round it and used glue dots but where I have taken the ribbon round the card at the back and inside cover it is popping up - should I use some pva glue (carefully!) or just try another glue dot - I am worried about cutting the ribbon up to the edges of the card incase it frays - what would you lot recommend??
I am definitely thinking of looking through my Christmas cards for bits to recycle/nick for next years card good idea May and Ali!0 -
Princesswoo i am gonna have to start making 2010's Christmas cards soon as it was all a bit last minute with me! I am gonna do a few cheat ones and use gift tags as the image on them and already have some in for next year so I can start soon if necessary! Saw some from a coupke of people on here and loved the idea so definitely one to try for 2010!0

ali why don't you cut a tiny slot in the fold of the card and take the ribbon right through and tie in a bow or knot at the front, then you wouldn't need to use any glue at all. Worth a try
i have tried this on a couple of cards and it worked really well just depends on what / where you want to use the ribbon.0 -
Ok sorry was commenting on people's posts as I caught up this evening but have tried to do it in a word doc so I can cut and paste now let's hope it works!
Flourgirl have a really fantastic trip to Venice. Hope to hear all about it when you get back and maybe see some pics as never been there but it looks so magical!
Congrats to the CP winner!!
Ali B I keep looking at ATg’s to buy as they look like a better investment for the long term tho have to get through the roll on type glue things I have already first!
Gemm I too have to remove anything liquid from the area where I am crafting!! At least it stops me sipping wine then I really would get into trouble with glue and crooked cutting/sticking etc etc!
Jammy I am signed up for the scrapbooking but nervous as never even tried before! Also can anyone tell me where you can get small photo’s printed? Ie if you want to do smaller than 6x4 how do you do it? Sorry to ask such a silly question but really have no idea!0 -
