Thanks Rusty apparantley the hotel will lend you waders!! It a pretty regular thing at high tide but this year they have had so much rain its been the worst for ** years. Just my luck!! Its still a good price for the papers, you dont often get them in sales.

flourgirl - have a lovely time - hopefully it wont spoil your trip!
tomsmum - thanks for that will have to see about getting some.
Spotted a nightmare at my mother in laws the card I had made them had lost its sticky and the matting and stamped image was starting to come off - I made the card earlier in the year and had swapped from Wilkinsons own dst to 3m dst - which was def. a lot better but cant remember what I used on this card - am panicking hoping that it hasnt happened to the other cards I made:o -my list of things to get is getting longer - cant wait for hubby to go back to work to put a few sneaky purchases through - as thinking of the scotch atg sticky gun thing that craftygranny bought.

flourgirl - have a good time in Venice despite the floods

ali - I had the same worry about cards and stuff I'd done early on. Cards stayed stuck ok but I lost count how many times I re-stuck noses and goggle eyes on snowmen jars ................did warn people that they might need to do quick repair job................lol
The pebbles I stuck with great difficulty with guitar and drums respectively also stuck for my two sons stayed put though despite one being posted and the other rattling around in the back of the car...............lol and that was just with some really cheapo 'super glue'
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I once used PVA and it was awful!! I know some use DST but mine never sticks properly!! I have recently started using eyelets and just tying it which works. You could use a lighter to seal the ends (do it from a distance to start with so it doesn't turn the ribbon black!) it seals the ends of the ribbons nicely and they won't fray!

I once had a terrible experience with PVA glue and ribbon :o I think I used way too much and all the glue soaked through to the front of the ribbon and it looked a right mess...!

Gemm - I know what you mean - I apply mine with a thin paintbrush after I squeezed the tube too hard trying to do a cross stitch card - totally ruined it:rolleyes:- so now very cautious.

your poor cross stitch! I once spilt a cup of tea over some cross stitch I was doing (luckily I hadn't got very far!) nowadays drinks anywhere near me when I'm crafting are a big no-no, I just can't be trusted :D
