Louby, massive congratulations to you all :j :j :j :j :j, Harry is absolutely beautiful, wow what a Christmas present and a Cuttlebug too, bet you have a huge smile on your face xxxxx

Rusty, hope your DD is feeling much better and settled in her new room x

Flourgirl, we were going to have a real tree this year but as the boys are so lively I worried about them hurting themselves on the needles so stuck with our fake one.

Alyssa, that is so lovely of you to help the drivers :A

Got all the boys presents wrapped last night so I feel more organised :D Taking the cat to the vet for his booster jabs this morning, then to local women's refuge to drop off some little presents and then food shopping. Food shopping with OH and two boys is not filling me with the joys of the festive season  but it needs to be done. Also got a nappy cake to make for an order and want to make some gorgeous looking cranberry, nut and white chocolate cookies .

Have a good day everyone xxx

  • Padster – thank you won’t have problem spelling this one lol

Flour Girl – you could have knocked me down with a feather I lost 2 pounds this week and got my silver 7 for a stone. Plus I also got a pressie as I was the only one who reached their personal goal for Christmas. Our class were asked to write down what they wanted to lose by Christmas. It had been done before I joined but I asked if I could join in. When I joined I would have been happy with half a stone but when I wrote it down I had already done that so put a stone and I just did it.

I know what you mean about the exercise but am hoping to get the Wii out over Christmas – I find I use it more if I leave it set up and out which I can’t do when I am working.

Love your new tree and you sound like me I would have put it up as well. The year we moved into our first house we moved in at the beginning of December the very next day the first boxes to be unpacked were the Christmas tree and decs. Hubby thought I was joking. 14 years on he still doesn’t know me very well lol.

Rusty – I have to agree about the idiots on the road. Yesterday we had to take the Christmas wreaths to the relatives. Did try to persuade my mum that we shouldn’t go but she became so upset at the thought as Dad not having his and the flowers on his grave being dead. We agreed to take Dads as it is local but I did try to put my foot down about the ones for my grandparents and Aunts who are buried about 5 miles away at Winterton.

Mum who is 82 agreed to this but got so upset that it would be the first year she wouldn’t get we agreed to go so long as the roads were clear which luckily they were in fairly good condition but still hubby drove carefully which is more than can be said for some who were speeding on a road that is bad enough in good weather.

louby-lou-lou – Wonderful news on your latest creation he is adorable. So glad he has made it home for Chritsmas as well.

good to see you back louby, little harry is gorgeous!!!

flourgirl I am so jealous of your pre-lit tree! :D I really want one as putting on/taking off the lights is my nemesis! might look for one in the sales after xmas ;)

leia fab card, love the style and the effect of all the little windows is great :)

rainmac you've got a busy day planned! I hate food shopping with a passion, at least you'll have your little elves to help you pack ;) me and the kitties are off the the vets this morning too, just for a checkup after their ops on friday. Then I have my nan and grandad coming later to deliver mince pies (she makes the most gorgeous mince pies in the world, I have asked her for the recipe many times but she just says she doesn't know it and just guesses the quantities!) Secretly I think she likes being the only person who knows her recipe ;)

nannyboo - glad you were able to get out and deliver your wreaths despite the weather. I feel left out now as I think we must be the only place in the country who havent had any snow! not that I am wishing for it mind as I hate driving in it, I have to take a very busy dual carriageway to work every day and we had very bad snow back in Feb this year. There were huge lorries overtaking me and the road was still covered in sludge and snow, some people are such idiots!

Rainmac our old Christmas tree was 20years old!! when I bought it my DH said we are not paying that for a Christmas tree!! but after 20years use he realised it was worth it. When I suggested getting this one he gulped loudly and said, right get your coat on we are going NOW!! :D We went in my micra and when it started snowing  I was panicing a bit in case we got stuck in Sheffield, but thankfully we got home safely. I will try and get a decent photo and put it on Rusty's thread.

having a pre lit one is easy peasy. If you are serious about one I would look now, by the sales it might be too late, I had to search for one and then it was the last one in the store.

Nannyboo Fantastic weight loss :T:j:A A whole stone for Christmas, thats brilliant. Did you know there is a WW support thread on MSE. We still have to go to the cemetery, I absoloutely hat going 12 and 9 years on I still find it upsetting. By the way my friends live in Winterton.

Melissa I think you would enjoy Kims book, just don't let the children pick it up as there is quite a bit of swearing in it.

Rainmac - Sounds like the boys had a lovely time!! hope you enjoyed your bowling!

Sorry I am struggling to remember who has said what!!

DD's eyes appear to be getting better but she had a really bad night last night :( she has settled into her new room without any problems at all which is absolutely fantastic! she is still chock a block full of a cold :(

She has also passed her lergy onto me!! we went over to FIL & MIL's yesterday afternoon (skated over on the ice :D) and after about 15 mins I felt awful! I was absolutely freezing and OH was worried about me! .... I have had a total of 2 hours sleep all night inbetween being up with my girly and being ill myself!! just got to hope it goes before christmas now (or at least eases for both of us!)

Thankyou to Paddingtondoo, Flourgirl, Rainmac for my beautiful cards which have arrived this morning.

Thankyou to mumhug for my christmas swap!
