Thanks for that Flourgirl - I may have had a little spend on a couple of images as well
.
Finally ordered my meat - just hoping I can get out the lane on Thursday to go collect it :rotfl:.
Shivered down the garden to see the budgies this morning - there was ice on both sides of the windows . Pond is half frozen as well - couldn't feel my hands by the time I'd knocked out their solid water and trudged back up the garden - DD asked me if I was a chav as I had my trousers tucked in my socks - nope just don't have any wellies like the rest of them :rotfl::rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

I've blitzed my kitchen today, it is all sparkly and lovely :j (just ignore the carp floor, to be replaced in the new year). Having Morrisons pizza for tea so I don't have to mess it up too much making dinner
Also tidied the boys rooms (and chucked some old stuff out) and done load after load of washing. Wanted to get the ironing done too but haven't managed to get started yet, the job I hate the most  I made the cookies I didn't get round to yesterday and they are LUSH, well worth trying... http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/13387/macadamia-and-cranberry-american-cookies. Going to a council meeting tonight as they are proposing to change catchment areas for the local schools which will mean in 2011 DS2 will have to go to a different primary school to DS1. Completely crazy, how you are supposed to get two children to different schools at the same time is beyond me  Never been to a council meeting before so no idea what to expect???
Thank you for the freebie links flourgirl :A
Hope you are feeling better Rusty xxx
3 sleeps to go ladies :j :j :j :j :j:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hello all :j
After disasters yesterday of lad we look after going berserk and ending up with 3 broken light fitings and leaking radiator  and me getting panic phone call from OH on way back from seeing my son - all is now well...........managed to get a chap to come and plug radiator so no more leaks and he'll do a 'proper job' another day...........while here he sorted out the light fittings...........OH couldn't manage the stretching as it was too painful.
Spoke to other son today and his xmas cards plus his girlfriends birthday cards still haven't arrived  Been well over a week now and her birthday was Sunday
I knew I should have done special delivery.......
He's sent two parcels to me........one arrived today -the other one he paid extra for so it would get here yesterday and that hasn't arrived
And there's me saying I'll post everything next year and not have to worry about delivering stuff in bad weather...........that seems like some sort of silly idea now................
Oh well, bah humbug to all that............can't put right everything least of all post office...........
Rant over.............
Best of luck with council meeting rainmac.............make sure if you've got something to say they take notice. I've never been to one but I'd imagine you have to be quite forceful about things.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Blimey rainmac - you're making me feel tired. Good luck with the council meeting not sure it will make much difference - they seem to make a lot of decisions without thinking of the practicalities
.
How awful Mary - I've not had many problems with the post office fortunately but understand how irritating it is.
I've managed to break the hose thing on my hoover now (it's not used to being used so much:rotfl:) so when you try to clip it out it won't stay out just slides back in on itself - decided to break before I'd done the stairs or upstairs  so may have to get the parcel tape out again - OH will have 50 fits and tell me to go out and buy a new one :rolleyes:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Is anyone else fed up with the snow now? It took me over 4 hours to get home from work last night and it's only 12 miles away and never takes more than half hour!
My boyfriend lives in Basingstoke and it was a nightmare - he tried to go to work and got as far as going down his road before hitting a lampost bless him.
Anyway added the last Christmas card i've made to my blog http://leialegweak.blogspot.com/2009/12/green-winter-flip-flop-card.html i'm not going to make anymore now but had better get started on birthday cards as I have 3 to make for the first two weeks of January  x0 -
nice handmade cards lei. I use free ecards online as a base for christmas cards - if you personalise them in photoshop and then print on high quality paper they are a great way to have the personal touch for cards for those closest to you without spending lots on a special card from a shop...0

Thought I'd posted last night but it's vanished
Padster - Poor budgies! Ice on both sides of the window reminds me of my childhood bedroom - nowadays they'd think we were deprived children - we weren't!
Flourgirl - thanks for the freebie link!
Mary-op - I bet you wont be sorry to see the back of this year will you? I do hope you have a peaceful Christmas and the lad you care for doesn't kick off again (or does so somewhere else!) & that your parcels are delivered.
Rainmac - Only 2 sleeps now - Thank goodness! It'll soon be over for another year. (Bah! Humbug!) I'm no fan of ironing but I'd rather do that than cleaning want to swap? Hope your meeting went well & you got chance to put your views forward.
Lei - Another beautiful card! It looks perfect.
Can I just say a general thank you at the moment to those who have sent me lovely Christmas cards I really do appreciate them - will sort out a proper thank you list in a day or two & post pics (when the heat dies down)0 -
marg thank you for the lovely card - the kittens are so cute!
I have posted most of my cards but have realised I am missing a few addresses so am waiting for them. No matter how early I make/write my cards I always seem to post the at the last minute. I must go and give the neighbours theirs:eek:
rainmac hope the meeting went well last night - we are waiting to hear if ds1 has a place at the secondary school all his friends will go to (not our local one). school places are so stressful.
my parents were supposed to be travelling up from Bournemouth today for Christmas but have decided it would be safer not to. the boys were so upset but seem to have got over it. so it will just be the 4 of us...
at least we now have a tidy house!
I had better go and see what stocking presents I have cos my mum was going to bring some with her!saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
£60 deposit paid :j £100 paid:j £40 paid:j0 -
The meeting last night was a bit of a waste of time, blooming politicians . It sounds like the county council are trying to keep everything hush hush so they can get an agreement without any hassle. The parish council we spoke to last night were rather limp to say the least . I am going to book a meeting with the head of Jack's school in January and ask him to help me fight to get Thomas into the same school. After the number of tantrums Thomas has had outside school when we've dropped off or picked up Jack, the head may not want to know
Thank you for the card bunbun, it arrived safely today and it's gorgeous xxx
I am most of the way through my ironing :j, got OH's shirts to go (lots of them too ), why do I always leave the worst stuff to the end??? My plan is to iron everything in sight so I don't have to do any for at least a weekMarg, I will swap with you any day, I would rather clean 10 toilets a week than do the ironing
Lei, just off to have a nosey at your card, I know it will be fantastic cos yours always are. So sorry yout boyfriend bumped into a lamp-post, hope he and the car are ok. I am a complete chicken in the cold weather. Me and the boys have stayed home for two whole days. I do have a few bits to get in the supermarket but can't face the roads. My nan has decided to stay where she is and come and stay at mum and dad's in the new year so I think we may go and visit her next week to give her our pressies and take her out for a belated xmas dinner.
2 sleeps, only 2 sleeps :j :j :j My monkeys are going to meet their sock monkeys in the morning, I am so excited, think they will love them

Marg I remember my mum telling me to appreciate central heating, as when she was little there was no heating upstairs and there was always ice on the inside of the bedroom windows in the morning! and I think it's cold when I get out of bed nowadays, I think I'd have frozen to death back then! Thanks for my lovely christmas cardxx
