Is it possible to do a bit of a get to know you thing? Or have you done it before? I get the feeling that most of you are SAHMs or Housewives, but please correct me if I'm wrong. But judging from your comments you seem to be crafting during the day and also have time to make things to sell.

Well, I'm Sam, I'm 29 and have no kids! But have 2 rabbits. I've almost finished DIYing my first house, so have time finally to craft. I'm also learning how to play electric guitar. I'm a computer programmer and work in an office full of men who just don't appreciate my crafty conversations or when I want to pop into the craft shop at lunch time! I've made them all Christmas cards this year, but I will probably get nothing in return :( Men huh?

My hubby works at Tesco so this time of the year I hardly see him as he already works Saturdays and now extra Sundays and evenings :(

I'm not sure if I have anything in common with anyone but my other interests are Metallica, Guitar Hero, generally going to concerts, cinema and also got a bit obsessed with True Blood but I've watched it all now. I think Woopidoo likes Bill (correct me if I'm wrong) sure I saw a piccy on your blog earlier...

OK I'll shut up now. :o[/QUOTE]

Hi Sam, I'm Jenny, I'm 33 and have 3 kids, Shannon 13, Rhys 10 and Aimee who's 4 and I live in Bournemouth. I work for Wilkinson's supposed to be 20hrs a week but often ends up being more, I do most of my crafting in the mornings whilst Aimee is at nursery and before I go to work.

North Cheam? Is that as in Sutton Cheam - Cheam? Or near? Cos my OH works at Sutton Cheam Tesco!

The thought of meeting up freaks me out, but yes, maybe one day :o Argh I'm useless!

Rusty - I always thought I was unlucky. I'm a bit of a pessimist and also love Eeyore because he is too :) What are you signed off work for? Or is it private? I have asked for the Twilight books for Christmas :D I'm going to take a look at your blog now to try and associate you with it....I'm back...have you even got a blog? I can't see one named RustyFlange!

I am indeed in North Cheam in Sutton, and my local tesco's around the corner from here is the Tescos on the A217, is that the one he works at? If so and you ever go with him, please pop in for a cuppa, it would be lovely to meet someone who is into card making and crafting like I am.

    Hi Sam.

I live in Sheffield and work (more than) full-time for a major high street bank (Boo! Hiss!). I'm a single parent and have very little spare time but like to craft whenever I can to keep me (relatively) sane.

I do have a blog :D It is here. I am signed off work as I have a slipped disc in my back, a compressed nerve root and disc disease ... in short all the above - sciatica in my legs and I am really struggling to do much at the minute, I managed to shop in asda today by pushing the trolley and then letting it roll with me on it ;) :rotfl: my Gran told me off though!!

Oh and I have the audio books on my ipod! Once my gran has gone home I will start reading them for the 5th time!

  • sorry ive been AWOL, havent done any crafts or cards since i last popped in.

Im so busy trying to get our house move arranged and this is the 1st time i have ever stressed out about moving, but contractors are involved and you know what there like for tea breaks plus im still havent got over this nasty bug.

I doubt i'll have much chance to get on again before christmas, as my internet will get cut off any day now ready to be re-connected at my new address. I will still check on here though as i can access the net at my mum's house.

Ive also got a lot of surgery to go through over the next few months, which like buses has all decided to come at once. Some im gonna be in a lot of pain and probably wont be able to craft but i will read / post / blog hop to keep me sane.

I also havent forgotten about my CP xmas swap i will be posting out my gift to my swapee at the beginning of next week.

Good luck with the move and also the surgery, sending you lots of hugs xxx

Hi! HH, I'm an old girl (well over 39 :D) I'm still working part time and live in White Stilleto Shire aka Essex. I've been crafting for quite some time but joined in on this thread earlier this year. I am absolutely useless at cutting out and colouring and have a Spellbinders Nestabilities addiction of which I repeatedly avoid treatment for.

Rusty, I'm so sorry that the card candy was carp.
 Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"!

Sorry Dawnteabag I have done a bit of a search, but can find anything similar sorry - I searched on the word concertina fold.

I did find some black glitter paper though that looked a reasonable price, not used this shop though, if you are still looking for it. Ooops just realised you wanted card, I think. x
