  • Does anybody go to craft sessions run by craft shops? I need to make some friends as I don't really know anyone where I live and thought this could be a good way. But I'm really scared about going on my own. I'm really shy and can come across stand offish to people - although I really don't mean too. I really want to join a weekly meet up type club so I can get to know people rather than do a one off class where I might never see the people again. Unfortunately my shop only does those type sessions on a Tuesday and I work :(

I know how you feel HH I am exactly the same. I have been told I come across as aloof when really my tongue is just tied up in knots. And yet I can rabbit on here for England :)

Wow some of you ladies were burning the midnight oil!!

So many posts to comment on.

Craftygranny - Thankyou for the offer of silicone glue, never heard of it or used it before, I appreciate your kindness but not sure I would use it? thankyou anyway.

Dawnteabag - I love your christmas card!! it is really clever (oh hang on think I commented last night? can't remember!) thankyou for the link to di's die cuts, I will have a good nosey! thankyou for the kind offer of christmas die cuts, I am sure you would be able to use them yourself? thankyou anyway!

Skiergirl - Nice to see you back are you feeling any better?

Paddingtondoo - Are you sure it is just because your shoulder is better than you are cleaning like a mad woman?? you're not nesting are you  (whoops you lot accused me of that last week so my turn now!! lol)

Glittermum - you have made a card? Can we see? Is it on your blog?

Anyone seen Rainmac today?? or BunBun? I am wondering if BunBun has killed the kittens yet?

RE the quickutz squeeze - I had one, and I only used it once, I also paid £20 for mine and it was a craft no no for me!! I got my cuttlebug and prefer that so much more, but I guess if you have no die cut system and they squeeze is cheap enough then it would be a good investment, each to their own though.

I am wondering if someone can give me some suggestions please?

I got a pack of these at the NEC

We were also lucky enough to be given a couple of part packs of the decorating kits (I think Rainmac and someone else got one?) anyway my thoughts are to make 3 of them up using the decorating kits and I have a ben 10 necklace type thing for DS, and a Minnie Mouse necklace for DD, and I have just picked up a lovely leather bracelet for OH. None of which are particularly heavy when out of packaging. So how could I attatch some ribbon onto these so I can hang them on our tree? I would like them to open them either on christmas eve or on christmas day but I think we would forget them on christmas day?

Any ideas would be gratefully recieved please :)

I still have envelopes for a couple of people to post tomorrow, I am sorry I have had a child free day most of today as OH's real mum offered to have DD then pick up DS from school :eek: we see her about 2 times a year  so I made the most of it and went shopping then have come home and wrapped most of the kids christmas pressies so didn't get a chance to get to post office!! I am sorry!

Helping_Hubby - Edit cause I missed your post! ... where do you live?? Maybe if you could tell us then one of us may well be close enough to meet up for a cuppa and a craft? I regularly meet up with BunBun but anyone else who lives local is welcome to join us :)

  • rusty- just a quick message to say your parcel arrived yesterday but i didn't go on the computer last nite so didn't tell you yesterday. Thank you for the lovely stuff the papers are glorious!
  • I agree with all you shy people - I've been accused of being snooty but just can't think of anything to say - I avoid OH's work dos like the plague :rotfl:.

Deffo not nesting rusty - would be in sooooo much trouble OH has been done can't spell the technical term :p. Think it's because our house is a "project" and needs so much work doing that I didn't see the point in doing anything coz it still looked pants iykwim.

Could you put a couple of holes in the roof with your big bite? Maybe along the top fold and stick some ribbon through them to make hangers? a bit like this here

Just found this - think it would frighten the birds to death :rotfl:
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

I am here! I have had a busy day card making and clearing up the house. the kittens have decided not to use the litter tray (could only be one but not sure) and have used various piles of papers and clothes round the house. As you know rusty there are plenty of them to choose from:o So I have had to have a mega tidy. they were not in my good books this morning!
I did also have time to make three easel cards - will put pics on my blog prob tomorrow as photos take ages to upload onto the computer.

skiergirl glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. I have had this sore throat/bug for about two weeks now and every so often still feel yuk!
