Wow it has taken me hours to catch up with you chatty ladies and I am exhausted now and I have forgotten nearly everything I wanted to say...sorry!

Some fab card ideas and thanks for the tutorial Dawnteabag

I live in Guildford Helping hubby so not far from you or CT and Popkins is also in Surrey. I had my first ever meet up locally with a crafty person (popkins that is!) last week at my house. It was great but we mostly chatted so didn't actually make anything! I work but i am off on Weds which is when we met up. I would be happy to meet anyone brave enough to meet me sometime!
Where do all you Surrey people do your crafty shopping?? I prefer online to anywhere I have found locally though I did find a craft place in Borden, Hampshire (by accident) and they run classes and I keep thinking of going along to try one out! Might do it after Christmas as seem to have a lot on at the moment!

Sorry to everyone I owe swops to I will get organised soon I promise and thank you to Choccy for my lovely ATC (which has already gone missing I think DD has pinched it!) and card.

Off to bed as work again tomorrow shame!! NN all hope to catch up again tomorrow xxx

What an evening you've all had! I caught up at tea time, but it's just taken me ages to read tonights fun! So brief post......

LOL at Bunbun's kitten's antics - our first cat (30 odd years ago) wee'd on our bed - with us in it:eek: A bit of a rude awakening! All cats since shut in kitchen at bed time. Other horrors endured involved his projectile vomitting into shoes, behind radiators, on DH's jumper (with DH in it at the time):rotfl::rotfl:Joy!

Padster - forgot to say last night - New windows look great! If you get withdrawal symptoms when you've done hoovering your house you can always come to mine!

Helping Hubby - I've no children either & well past conceiving age! but it's OK 'cos craftygranny's very kindly going to send me 2 of hers.:rotfl:

Princesswoo - we'll miss you - hope your move and surgery go well.

    Charlie23 - I'm another cuttlebug fan!

Rusty - My MIL is much further down the road than your granny, it's such a cruel illness, 'cos a lot of the time you think they are just winding you up but they really can't help it & we do have a laugh at some of the things she's done as a way of coping.

Dawnteabag - thanks for the brill tutorial your mock up of the other one looks just fine to me - Go for it!

    Skiergirl - Glad you're feeling better - I haven't forgotten I owe you.

Mary-op - Glad DH is home safe - you'll have to pack him a goody food hamper if he has to go again.

Rusty - Can you get the roof of your little houses? I knew I'd seen a pic of a finished one somewhere (see link above) Maybe just a small slit cut & a knotted loop of ribbon threaded through? IYSWIM

    Hi everyone

Thought I would join in if that's okay, I work full time so sometimes struggle to do all the crafting I want to.

Can I ask a silly question I have just created a blog and it shows my email address at the top, is it only me that can see this or can everyone :o

@paddingtondoo - I'm glad it's not just me then :) Oh and I also avoid anything to do with OHs work too :) Luckily OHs aren't invited this year to Christmas dos so I have no excuses to make.

@rusty - I live between Aldershot and Guildford. Anyone else local? Not that I'd have to guts to meet anyone :o but maybe one day :o

Yay, Gavin and Stacey is back tomorrow! (sorry - advert just came on telly!)

Is it possible to do a bit of a get to know you thing? Or have you done it before? I get the feeling that most of you are SAHMs or Housewives, but please correct me if I'm wrong. But judging from your comments you seem to be crafting during the day and also have time to make things to sell.

Well, I'm Sam, I'm 29 and have no kids! But have 2 rabbits. I've almost finished DIYing my first house, so have time finally to craft. I'm also learning how to play electric guitar. I'm a computer programmer and work in an office full of men who just don't appreciate my crafty conversations or when I want to pop into the craft shop at lunch time! I've made them all Christmas cards this year, but I will probably get nothing in return :( Men huh?

My hubby works at Tesco so this time of the year I hardly see him as he already works Saturdays and now extra Sundays and evenings :(

I'm not sure if I have anything in common with anyone but my other interests are Metallica, Guitar Hero, generally going to concerts, cinema and also got a bit obsessed with True Blood but I've watched it all now. I think Woopidoo likes Bill (correct me if I'm wrong) sure I saw a piccy on your blog earlier...

OK I'll shut up now. :o

You've got something in common with all of us on here - CRAFTING! :D

I'm 32, three children all girls (12, 9 and 2) I live in Kent and I'm sort of a SAHM. My partner is self employed and his unit is just 5 mins down the road - I'm the glorified delivery driver, tea maker, lunch fetcher for him so although I can craft during the day if he phones and says I need to get to Dover, Hastings, Essex - wherever, I have to drop everything and go pick him up ;) Not sure how we will manage that side of things when the youngest starts nursery but so far my Dad has been brilliant in helping me pick the older two up as they are at different schools. OH pays me in spending money for Ally Pally though so am quite happy to help :D

I'm into concerts also (something else in common) and am going to see Alice Cooper next month WHOOOOO! Who I have a slight obsession for and if you visit my blog often you will know he crops up in a lot of my crafting.

I love anything vampire related, books, films whatever always have done since I was ickle. My favourite Sesame Street character was the Count! Ah, ah, ah, ah! Also any other paranormal, halloweeny, spooky type stuff but NOT full on gore or horror. I'm looking into learning more about paganism & wicca as it seems to make sense to me but am very slow at taking it all in.

I love altering, scrapbooking, collage etc, etc. I am in awe at all you cardmakers and struggle at that side of it but am trying more lately hence my lurking on here - plus you seem a bonkers bunch which suits me fine ;)

And yes... Bill is lovely. Yum. :o:D

If you want to natter with me on Facebook or via email feel free any of you. Search for Carmen Wing on facebook my avatar is the cartoon character Lenore. And the contact me button on my profile of my blog is my direct email so never feel you can't natter to someone about anything HH crafty or not ;)

Hi! HH, I'm an old girl (well over 39 :D) I'm still working part time and live in White Stilleto Shire aka Essex. I've been crafting for quite some time but joined in on this thread earlier this year. I am absolutely useless at cutting out and colouring and have a Spellbinders Nestabilities addiction of which I repeatedly avoid treatment for.

Rusty, I'm so sorry that the card candy was carp.

oooh it's not your fault!! I should have read the auction properly!! :rotfl: I am going to find a way of using it anyway and then when craftwork cards finally pull their fingers out I will order some from them!

Thankyou Marg, this picture I think is the same kit I have (I have the same papers on the front but haven't opened mine as yet!) so hopefully I can do something with it.

Marg it is a horrible illness, and anyone who looks after them must have the patience of a saint!! but she just really upset me last night! it doesn't help that she refuses to go to sleep til gone midnight when I need to be in bed several hours earlier as I am sooo tired on all my tablets and running round after the kids!! might try and convice OH that I need a lie in over the weekend then let him have one also!
Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists
