Should do it more often really.
Have just realised that my shoulder must have been a problem for far longer than I realised but it's now almost back to working properly and have stopped any painkillers - next physio appointment tomorrow morning so will see what she says. Have been a bit lazy with my exercises but am sure housework must count.
Glad your OH is home Mary even if he was starving - he would have been better fed at the police station as they have to feed them every so many hours and cater for all diets or they get fined .
Could really do with a trawl round a decent craft shop only one I've found locally is the range and I object to walking in there unless I'm desperate for a fix :rotfl: Need to find an independent one any suggestions??
Am trying to remember where you are I know you are near to me (terrible memory). There is the one at Tetney, One in Grimsby near Freshney place but a really small shop, used to be a good one in Brigg but not sure if it is still there and the garden centre there stock some (similar to the Range stuff) but has gone down hill recently there is also one at Goole but no idea where it is or what it is like. Are there any in Hull I know there used to be but haven't been in years. Am still trying to persuade hubby to take me to the new Hobbycraft at Hull but I have no chance this close to Christmas:wave: Kate :hello:0 -
Dawnteabag, thanks for the instructions they are fab, i'll try something out at the weekend, and if it works will post on my blog.
Gemm - i've been looking at blogs and on yours have noticed that you have a slideshow of your cards. Can I ask how you got this to appear and was it easy - it is such a good idea. I have tried through gadgets on customise, and can't get anything to show up. Since doing my blog I have a load of photos in photobucket and it would be great if I could link them to my blog.
Thanks
x
CT - I followed these instructions and found it really easy, if you can't get it to work feel free to give me a shout!0 -

I get the feeling that most of you are SAHMs or Housewives, but please correct me if I'm wrong. But judging from your comments you seem to be crafting during the day and also have time to make things to sell.
Hello Sam:hello:
My name is Kate and I am 45. I am married to Gary and have been for 12 years. Sadly we have no children of our own but as a childminder we have many in our lives. I tend to be on here at the moment in an afternoon as just have one child in who sleeps from after lunch until he goes home about 2.45. I also get on here in an evening but I really should be doing paperwork but this is much more fun. I really want to craft more in an evening but the radiator in my craft room isn't working and it is freezing so tend not to do much crafting. I have recently started card making again as I gave it up earlier this year as I never had a spare moment so gave all my stash away and am now regretting it. Mind you more reasons to start buying again lol:wave: Kate :hello:0 -
Hi all, I've been awol for a few days as we have had a few 'mishaps' yesterday and today!
yesterday morning, Silver decided that the sofa was the best place to squat down and start to have a wee, I could see what she was about to do and grabbed her and ran to the kitchen (tiled floor), the only problem was that she'd already started to go by that point so there was a nice trail of cat wee-wee for me to clean up when I got home from work, spent most of yesterday evening scrubbing the carpet. I don't know why she did that as neither of them have done it before!!
Then this morning we woke up to find the en-suite floor covered in water which had also soaked into the bathroom carpet and down to the cieling (sp?) of the landing. we cleaned up the majority of it this morning but pulled back the bedroom carpet to see that it had soaked through to the underlay and floorboards too, so we've had to cut away a big chunk of underlay and the carpet might have to go too.
so I have managed to wangle a longer lunch hour so I can come home from work and make sure that theres no more water, (Which there isn't by the way!) we can't understand where it came from, theres no drips down the walls, I don't think its come from the toilet as I have a blue cistern block in there so surely the water would have been blue? radiators didn't seem to be leaking either, it's a complete mystery, as if it just appeared there! maybe we have a ghostie! Lol
of course the cats werent pleased that they werent allowed out of their room this morning (as we were rushing round like mad things trying to clean up all the water) so they are being royal pains whilst I'm sitting here at lunch! got to go out again in 15 mins or so but so releived theres no more water!
on the plus side, my Grandad came on tuesday and put me up a nice big shelf in my craft room, with a ribbon rack underneath!! will take a pic and put it on my blog when i've had chance to load it all up
to the universe - no more mishaps this week please!!0 -
as everyone seems to be re-introducing themselves, I'm Gemma, 24 married and live in staffordshire. I work full time, don't have any kids but have had our 2 cats, Amber and Silver for about a month, and we love them to bits
hi to all the newcomers!! :hello:0 -
Hello to the newbies :hello: its great to have you all onboard we will soon have you all bankrupt :rotfl: My name is Karen and I'm old enough to be nearly everyones mum:eek: I love cardmaking and crafting, I do have a blog if you want a nosey. I am looking forward to chatting to you all, as I need to get my post count up lol:o
I have been trying to keep up with your posts  but you are real chatterboxesI am quite busy at the moment so not much time to post and certainly no time for crafting, no craft room either its under reconstruction. Just finished decorating it. The conservatory is full of my stash and I really need to have a good sort out, there is so much stuff I dont use. Lightbox
embossing powders
will have to do a RAK.
Rainmac I wish I lived nearer to you cos I could give you a hand. You sound just like me, I was always the one who offered to help at school and bit off more that I could do with, still you get there in the end and its usually for a good cause. Is it tomorrow you are going to London ? Did you decide which show you are going to see ? Have a fantastic time and enjoy your birthday treat.
Mary have been thinking about you and Mr Mary and hope its good news on Tuesday.0 -
Oh Gemm sorry to hear about your flood. The water hasn't come from the trap under the shower has it? Its just that it happened to us and thats where the water had come from. Our kitchen floor has dried out now but the laminate floor edges are raised and have started chipping away, so it looks like a new floor in the new year0

Padster your new windows look FAB you will find them so much easier to clean as well as being much warmer. Stephen Smiths have a bit of craft stuff but they are really expensive, much better to shop online0
