Hello all - still busy as always.
craftygranny - I'll get your cards posted off tomorrow (sorry, forgot yesterday:rolleyes:)
Now.........please, please,............knickers inside out, anything you like but its much needed.
OH didn't tell me yesterday when he got home from hospital (didn't feel like talking about it)but there's definitely something 'unwanted' lurking in the lung area......just a case of whether its benign or malignant  So, we need every prayer there is going, candles lit galore, everything inside out.........and anything else anyone can think of that can make the result the one we want...........that all he's got is a bit of useless debris that needs coming out..........thats what we're hoping anyway. Either way he's going to have to go into hospital -shan't know when or for how long till next week.
There..............haven't I just put the bloomin' dampener on everything again..................sorry(memo to self............be more positive about all things)
Not a dampner at all , just talking to your friends xxx:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

I live in Guildford Helping hubby so not far from you or CT and Popkins is also in Surrey. I had my first ever meet up locally with a crafty person (popkins that is!) last week at my house. It was great but we mostly chatted so didn't actually make anything! I work but i am off on Weds which is when we met up. I would be happy to meet anyone brave enough to meet me sometime!
Where do all you Surrey people do your crafty shopping?? I prefer online to anywhere I have found locally though I did find a craft place in Borden, Hampshire (by accident) and they run classes and I keep thinking of going along to try one out! Might do it after Christmas as seem to have a lot on at the moment!
I think I might have posted aggges ago about this...
I used to shop at Notcutts in Cranleigh, but I just phoned them and the craft shop there has goneThey have moved to a place called Smithbrook Kilns on the A281 http://www.smithbrookkilns.co.uk/
The shop is called Sally Annes, but I couldn't see a phone number to make sure she's there. The shop was excellent when it was at Notcutts, really well laid out and lots of stock.
I went to The Art of Craft at the weekend which is in North Camp on Lynchford Road (between Aldershot and Farnborough). They do craft classes there ranging from £6 - £20 and I'm thinking (if I have the guts) to do one or two in the new year. The shop itself was like an alladins cave. Looks tiny from the outside but it's fairly big. But it's quite messy in there and really difficult to see the stock. But there is loads.
There's also a really small and quite new (been there about a year I think) shop in Farnborough http://www.thecraftstation.co.uk/
It's not really got that much stock, so I wouldn't go out of your way. But I think their paper was cheaper than the art of craft. They had much less to choose from, but they seemed to have picked a nice quality selection. I asked about classes, and they will probably start them up again in Feb/March when it warms up - the lady said it's just too cold in there this time of year.
I remembered someone (maybe you, furrypig) that there was a hobby craft in WokingI don't think I've been to a hobbycraft, but always got the impression they were pricey. I'm actually in Woking for a docs appointment on the 18th, so I will pop there on my way home
So where about's is popkins? Guildford is only 10 mins from me. It's probably my local town (actually Aldershot technically is but I've never been there).0 -
@mary-op - really sorry to hear your news. I've got everything crossed for you. :grouphug:0
