Choccy - budgies are fine thanks! All 24 of them although there is evidence that their furry friends have moved in for the winter :eek:. I now talk to myself as I go down the gardne to give them time to dash out before I go in
.
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

I'm here early today!
Gemma - so sorry to hear of your flood Flourgirl's idea sounds worth looking into - the water MUST have come from somewhere and can travel along runs of pipes before you see it - been there done that!
Oh & I forgot to say yesterday Thank you for my pretty cat ATC & card.
Dragonllew - Sorry didn't realise you were poorly Hope you get better soon
Melissa - also forgot to say Well Done on your win!
Mary & Mr Mary - Huge hugs & prayers for you that it is something simple they can soon sort.
Mary - my DH would have done just the same I have to buy a programme to find out anything important!0 -
Thanks for the info on the Glitter Pot Skiergirl. If the weather isn’t too bad tomorrow, I may venture down there for a look.
Glittermum – thank you so much for your card swap, it is gorgeous and have put it up on my blog.
Gemm – thanks for the instructions for getting a slideshow on my blog – it was simple compared with what I was trying to do last night. Hope you find the source of the flood and manage salvage the carpet.
Furry – I tend to travel to go to craft shops and I haven’t found much around here. There is a small shop called Craft Genie in Chessington, that I came across, but they don’t stock much of anything. I was in the shop the other day looking for some bits and pieces and came out empty handed, as they didn’t have what I wanted. Luckily it is only about 5 miles from here. Otherwise I go down to Hobbycraft in Crawley, which is about a 60 mile round trip, the paper mill store in Ashford McCarthur Glen Outlet centre, which is a 140 mile trip (but then I get to go shopping to) or Papermill down at Whiteleys and at Portsmouth, which is about 180 miles, so when I go there I tend to go with my OH and boys and make a day of it. I also shop on the internet, trying to avoid buying from every link that is posted on this thread!
I work part-time, but my day off is a Friday, otherwise I would try to meet up with you and Popkins on a Wednesday.
Whoopidoo – thanks for the link for the nestabilities, I will be setting my alarm clock!
Mary I wish your OH good news next Tuesday and that it turns out to be nothing serious. I’ll have everything inside out and crossed for you both.
Melissa – congratulation on your win.
Hope everyone who is still feeling under the weather, start to feel better soon. Craftygranny hope Kaitlyn is feeling better soon. Hope the anti-biotics start to work for you soon Dragonlew.
I’ve just been really naughty – I cooked for the boys and OH and didn’t fancy it (although to be fair there wasn’t enough sausages to go around) so I have just demolished a McD and it was delicious – I don’t have them very often, but just fancied some junk. So I didn’t upset the broad I had to get McFlurries for them all. Now they have all gone I’m about to open the tin of quality streets I bought from Sainsburys today (very moneysaving as it was only £4.00, and will do for Christmas). Anyone want one!2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -

When i got home from work again tonight there was still no sign of fresh water so it's still a mystery. If it happens again I will definitely be ripping open the underneath of the shower tray as flourgirl mentioned, I'm sure I will be up and down in the night feeling the floor for dampness :rotfl:0 -
Choccy - drat, I was hoping I could combine craft and football (I didn't think you lived in Hull so was a bit confused
)
Dragonllew - hope you feel better soon xx
helping_hubby - I have to drive past Smithbrook Kilns to get to mil's, what reason can I find to persdaude DH to stop:rotfl:. Seriously if I get chance to go around christmas I'll let you know what its like (unless Furry gets there before me
)
CT - enjoy the glitterpot if you get there
I'll 'see' you all next week as we're off to friends in Reading early tomorrow x0 -

I used to shop at Notcutts in Cranleigh, but I just phoned them and the craft shop there has goneThey have moved to a place called Smithbrook Kilns on the A281 http://www.smithbrookkilns.co.uk/
The shop is called Sally Annes, but I couldn't see a phone number to make sure she's there. The shop was excellent when it was at Notcutts, really well laid out and lots of stock.
I went to The Art of Craft at the weekend which is in North Camp on Lynchford Road (between Aldershot and Farnborough). They do craft classes there ranging from £6 - £20 and I'm thinking (if I have the guts) to do one or two in the new year. The shop itself was like an alladins cave. Looks tiny from the outside but it's fairly big. But it's quite messy in there and really difficult to see the stock. But there is loads.
There's also a really small and quite new (been there about a year I think) shop in Farnborough http://www.thecraftstation.co.uk/
It's not really got that much stock, so I wouldn't go out of your way. But I think their paper was cheaper than the art of craft. They had much less to choose from, but they seemed to have picked a nice quality selection. I asked about classes, and they will probably start them up again in Feb/March when it warms up - the lady said it's just too cold in there this time of year.
I remembered someone (maybe you, furrypig) that there was a hobby craft in WokingI don't think I've been to a hobbycraft, but always got the impression they were pricey. I'm actually in Woking for a docs appointment on the 18th, so I will pop there on my way home
So where about's is popkins? Guildford is only 10 mins from me. It's probably my local town (actually Aldershot technically is but I've never been there).
Oh thanks for your long reply hun I appreciate it. I am gonna look up all those places and i would defo travel toeither place for a class and I am even considering going to Make it at Farnborough as it is sooo near! I do remember the post about the garden centre and the craft shop so thank you! I hae popped into Hobbycraft a couple of times and they do sometimes have good offers on like when they did packets of promarkers for £4.50 and they often have a few bits in clearance baskets, but I agree overall they are a bit pricey!
You sound really near to me and Popkins is about half an hour away but in the opposite direction!0 -

Mary and Mr Mary, keeping the fingers, toes, eyes and knees crossed for you.
(Thud! Oops, fell over) but you know where I'm coming from. :grouphug::whistle: Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0
