  • Catmulogen - I'm another cuttlebuggler - don't know much about the big shot but when I bought my bug was mainly coz I wanted to emboss and sizzix were still making the original machine.

I use sizzlits, sizzix originals, quickutz, nesties and of course cuttlebug embossing and cutting dies in mine without any probs - the only thing I would say is it's a very expensive habit - a bit like promarkers :rotfl::rotfl:
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
  • Marg - i have the alpha bubble, in my heart, bloom & Skooshy.

I love the in my heart dies, they have little hearts cut out of the capital letters. The alpha bubble ones are perfect for boy cards.
I bought them from the sizzix site a few weeks back when they were reduced from £63 a set to £13 - so if you want some more keep checking the site as they regularly have them reduced.

I was looking through the Sizzix site this morning - I noticed the in my heart and skooshy alphabets. They're currently £41+ per set, but you can buy them with a Hello Kitty sidekick for £30.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
  • craftsulove have free p and p untill Monday;)
I also bought punches from crafterscove- free p and p again
  • Would like to say thanks to everyone on this thread - you have been an inspiration for me to try out new things (usually do sewing and knitting). But I do see what people mean about getting expensive - I now *need* a scallop punch, cuttlebug and scoring board.

Here a couple of things that I have been trying out - to see if I can do them for the school fair. I'd bought a new paper trimmer from hobbycraft and hate it. It doesn't seem to cut straight and sometimes doesn't cut all the way through. I'm going to see if I can swap it for something better (which probably means more expensive) at the weekend.

    Here they are...

  • Gilligansyle, Catmulogen and *Louise* - hello and welcome to the thread.

Craftygranny - thanks for the tip - I don't think we've got a poundstretcher near us - I'm thinking of getting one of those Really Useful Boxes for my papers - I haven't decided yet! We're all Liverpool fans in this house too. I've signed OH and oldest son Leo up to be members and Leo's going to his first match next Saturday - I hope they win. One of our neighbours loves LFC too - he named his dog Torres! Sorry to hear about Alicia's operation being put back.

Dragonflew - fabulous birthday cards - I think my favourite is your fairy castle - its stunning!!!

Gemm - lovely xmas card - I love how you've bordered the card using your punch!

Mumhug - sorry to hear you weren't invited to the party!!

Princesswoo - sounds like you had fun spending your money in the craft shop - what was the storage that you bought for your 12x12 papers? Lovely challenge card - the beads look great. Your gift card wallets are brilliant - much better than bought ones!

Paddingtondoo - I just wondered whether your "food" fat page ever turned up - if not I'll make another one! Your easel card is fabulous - really cute!

Rainmac - your snowman soup looks fab!!! Good luck with your craft fair - I know you'll do really well - all your creations are fabulous!!!

Louby_Lou_Lou - sounds like you picked up some fab bargains in TKMaxx.

Rusty - crikey - that's a load of stamps you're getting rid of - what a kind thing to do!!! Hope you're feeling a bit better now, your decoupage cards are fab! Love your penny black card - your snowman looks lovely and warm.

Bunbun - brilliant easel card - really bright and cheery - I saw a challenge somewhere on a blog to make an easel card - I'll see if I can find where so you can enter it.

Lei_Armstrong - Really pretty "anya" card - love the colours!

Sally - sorry about your sad news - sending you cyber hugs.

Skiergirl - hope you feel better soon.

Wheezysmith - your creations are fabulous!!

Marg - aahhh - bless your OH - that really made me chuckle!

I've drawn out the names for the xmas present swap over on crafty place.
  • wheezysmith - they're all really good. I reckon you're well on your way to becoming addicted, the list of things you 'need' will only get bigger!

  • Just a quick update hospital rang today and Alicia is going to be admitted on wednesday next week for the op on thurs and she will be first on the list this time. Problem is the cyst they are going to drain is right on the tumour so they are hoping to do a biopsy at the same time.

Sally i really feel for you i lost my youngest brother and my mum in less than six months. It's very hard but it does get better.

Flourgirl Thank you so much for all your help . I'm trying to update her blog with pics of all the fab goodies you lovely ladies have sent.

Rainmac if no one likes your stuff it will be because they are a tasteless bunch. Your stuff is fab and i should know because i have a basket full of them here. You will probably sell out.

Melissa the boys were thrilled to bits and couldn't believe they had been sent all the football goodies. Thomas kept asking are you sure we can keep them. Hope Leo enjoy's his match.

  • Craftygranny -they're really dear for Leo's size - 'cos they're members now they get 10% off in the shop and on line, but they're still expensive. Littlewoods catalogue stock quite a bit and often bits are in their sale - I've got the OH quite a few shirts from there for loads cheaper than in the shop, plus I use topcashback and I often have codes for there. Little Elliot already has 2 kits that I picked up for 6 quid each.
