  • Rainmac - thank you thank you thank you for all my lovely stash - it's much too much! Those foam flowers are lovely. I'll postmine tomorrow -oh and the postage was fine!

I've just got the Lakeland Christmas catalogue - there are some gorgeous items, I'm getting the Christmas fleecy blanket for my CHristmas Eve hamper for the boys. I always have to get some turkish delight for DH too.

Candy - enjoy your cuttlebug. I've just been very naughty and ordered an alphabet from the states - it was only 35 dollars including postage - the alphabet is £49 here:eek:

I'm going to try not to buy anything till the NEC now - just need to jot down things that I need (OK want!) as I go along.

Hi all, New to this thread and new to card making. I have tried to read through as much of part 1 and 2 and may I say some fabulous ideas and links you all are very talented. I am looking for a bit of advice on where I can get ideas for a new home card. Have not done many cards and they were all birthday ones so I`m pushing the boat out and going to try something different :j but not sure where to start looking any help and ideas would be most app. I was looking for something modern.

    Thanks

How about using this new freebie download called Home Sweet Home, it's very pretty... http://the-creative-cottage.blogspot.com/

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed today by the kindness & generosity of you all to my challenge. DH is so impressed that he wants to take me & the cards to the lady who's organising the send out so that nothing goes wrong in transit. Before then, I'm going to take a mass photo to put on here and I haven't forgotten about the draw - keep watching this space!

Rainmac - your beautiful card & ATC arrived today with treats too! which contributed to my overwhelmedness (is that a word?) THANK YOU very much.

    Afternoony all :D

    Hope everyone is ok?

Sal - You lucky lucky lady :D .. can't wait to see what you make with it ;) ... I have posted a little something for you today!

Candy - Your cheque has arrived today :) ... do you want me to rip it up?? PM me :p oh and BOO to you too! lol

I have not long got home from my scan ... I was scared stiff this morning, but the lovely bunbun was texting me which helped calm the nerves! ....
I went in, and it was so different to last time, the machine was so much better and the lovely lady doing it was really nice and actually as daft as me ;) which always helps. After 45 mins under the scanner and not being able to get up again due to the agony (can't lie on my back at all now so 45 mins being on my back is pure hell!) she came in and has asked how old I am ... I told her and her response was that she has never seen so much wear and tear on someone of my age  Not sure what happens as she couldn't tell me too much as she has to send it back to the hospital so I will probably have another appointment dropping through the letterbox soon!

I am scared now though :( clearly if there is a mess there then it explains the pain ... but what happens now to help put me right :(

Well done you, I didn't know it was today, I feel awful :o You've done absolutely the right thing on having the scan done and now the doctors will have the correct info to decide what options they can offer you. Huge well done for being brave xxx

Glad Tom's parcel arrived ok, late I know but finally with you ;)

I am going to attempt your swing card later, it looks hard!!! Note to self - set an easier challenge next month  :p
