Huh! They're are craftygranny's very special elves and work really hard for her:D They don't very often get to me 'cos the credit card is still nailed down.
Glad you had a nice evening Sally and what a fab present! Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
Thanks for the welcome ladies.
Now I'm going to start with the questions already! I was thinking about getting a Scor Pal but can't decide if I should go for imperial or metric? I work in inches at the moment but I notice that magazine projects/cards are nearly always in cms. Not sure if I'm clever enough to work out the conversions for myself. Can anyone give me a bit of guidance please?
Thanks in advance.

cps I've got both, the new metric one has more lines which make it easier to make boxes. Also, I do use A4 printed paper quite a lot and can get an A6 card made very quickly, two from one sheet of paper. If you do seriously consider buying one join in the Scor-pal forum over on www.splitcoaststampers.com ,they are a sponsor of the site and there's lots of links to Scor-pal tutorials:whistle: Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0

THE-WIFE - Thank you for that. I'll check out that link and see what I can find. I'm trying to be good and not rush into buying things. I've been out with a crafting friend today and we were first in a small independent card shop and then The Range - we only spent just over £10 between us. How good is that!

omg my elves are listening those scor pals sound good wonder if they think i need one. Are they expensive ? They seem to use them on an awful lot of tutorials . Maybe i need to ask my us elf he's not due back till wednesday do you think they'll be a better price there? So many questions sorry.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

CT these are nesties the scalloped circles are what I have used to cut some for you
Thanks very much for the link Flourgirl, i've bookmarked it. Since I will get a cuttlebug, I will also get a set of these when they come back into stock again, as although they are quite a bit, they are cheaper that the 3 scalloped circle punches I was going to get. Sorry I don't know where you can get white post-its but will keep an eye out for you. What size are you after?
Welcome CSP - you will soon be addicted like the rest of us.
Sally - glad to hear that you had a good birthday.
Spent all evening making a swing card for my mums birthday. I was too late to enter the card swap over on CP, but want to try one out. Very happy with the way it looks.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
Craftygranny - I think the Scor Pal is about £30-£32 but may be cheaper if you have someone in the US who could fit one into their suitcase. I'm still at the 'research' stage at the moment because I'd also like some more nesties and some of the new cuttlebug folders. So much to choose from - good job I haven't spent my birthday money yet. Yes, well I don't know how I managed to be so good in The Range especially as DH wasn't about to see any naughtiness either!

Some lovely creations on the blogs ladies, not had chance to comment yet damn work!
Just wondering if anyone can help me out, I really wanted to make the triangle gift boxes for the wedding but they are just a little too small, I tried a few different boxes but I much perfer the triangle one, anyone got any ideas on how i can make it bigger or create something else, I'm starting to get stressed now.....
Hels102 - finally found the original link to the triangle boxes that I used http://pinkpetticoat.blogspot.com/2008/11/chocolate-buttons.html (you will need to download the file). Not sure if you could open the file up, do a print screen, paste it into word and then using the drawing toolbard, crop what you don't need and then resize it. Think that may give you something that would be a bit bigger all round.
