    Hi guys :)
Sorry, I've been away for a while, was having some life drama but I'm looking forward to crafting again now!

What happens in the card swap? Do we just send a completed card that fits the theme to someone? Sorry for being an idiot...The Crafty Place site doesn't seem to like me!

I'll pop your name down if you like Saucy, if you would like to take part that is. Make one card with a heart on and I'll contact you with your swappers name at the weekdend, you contact each other and there you are. And I'll be giving a prize of some nice craft bits to a lucky winner picked at the end of the month.

If you're happing a problem let us know and we'll see what we can do.

Thanks! Melissa. The QVC TSV sounds fab, I wonder if it will be 'around the corner' type ones, hope so. I bought one in Canada that cuts a whole strip, not just the edge and watched a video of the spiders web one, gorgeous but your measurements have to be very precise. Hmmm.... not sure about me being that good.

Poor little chaps, have you got any very gentle facial scrub or a soap with bits in and a good lathering of baby moisturiser after.

    or this:

Rusty - If you need help to achieve a big order at Craftworks & postage wouldn't kill it for you - I'd share. Thanks for my goodies. Glad to see you back - How much hair did Thomas cut off? Think most kids do it at least once - my nephew cut all the cats whiskers off and didn't tell - my SIL was worried the cat was ill:rotfl:

    Work calls........

Thanks Marg, I will see what happens and if the account gets accepted. Glad your stuff arrived :) I didn't know how many you wanted to please just shout anytime you need anymore :) ... Thomas has only cut a small chunk of his hair out, but it has annoyed me that the teacher saw him do it and yet never bothered to tell me!! it is only because I noticed and looked closely that I spotted it  :rotfl: about your SIL's cat!! I dread things like that!

No problem Flourgirl, I'll send it to you later.

My OH did eventually work out how to get the missing button up on the software, thanks to Rusty's help. However, it appears that we have a different machine/model to your ones, in so much as we can not only cut but we can draw and write with sakura pens in our one, so the older version of the software isn't recognised for our machine. We have got over this problem - just so we can get the freebies from the silhouette shop - by me having the older version on my laptop, and my OH having the other version on his. I just save files onto a stick and get him to print them out. Didn't get any $25 voucher though when we bought it :(

I got the shop button up on mine aswell :j but then when I came to use the robo it refused to cut and didn't recognise that the robo was even attatched to the computer so had to reinstall the other software, OH has the silhouette software on his though ;)

Oh my OH had problems with card sticking to the mat too, and went out and bought the spray adhesive, but it didn't make any real difference. In then end he bought a couple more carrier sheets from somewhere else and they are so much better than the original one we go. I don't know where he got them from, but could ask him tonight if you want.

I need to buy some spray adhesive just trying to find it at a reasonable price! I am thinking of reviving mine first to see if I can then will buy new ones eventually. Although on UKS there is a post about making your own carriers which saves the cost of buying proper ones ;)

Flourgirl - From what I can gather there are 3 machines which are exactly the same, the only difference is the name/stickers on the top and the software, there is the silhouette, the robo and the wishblade. We have the same trouble with the carrier mats they just dont stick!! ... OH put a papermill box infront and behind the robo so as it is going through the robo the paper is kept reasonably flat. Also if your images aren't being cut properly like mine haven't been doing then you can cut it twice and that seems to help! thanks for the challenges link, just want to see if I can fit my latest one into any challenges before blogging it!

This card I made last thursday which was my first attempt at cutting without OH on standby, it cut lovely but have tried to cut it again and it just will not cut!! I did the card wrong and realised it was very plain so planned to redo it and add a ribbon or something at the bottom but can't get it to cut so haven't had a chance to as yet!

Melissa - I would have said baby wipes for facepaint

Rusty I did the same as you and put embelishment boxes infront and behind to try and keep the mat level. DH said they ought to have paper carriers like printers do. Think I need to join UKScrappers

Do you think we should have a die cutting thread lol

I popped back on to tell you I've blogged but I've already been found out :rotfl: . Anyway, I put my crafty hat back on today and almost finished my DD's 40th birthday survival kit. I'm really pleased with it, OH made a great job of covering the box and I couldn't have done it without the suggestions I've had from the ladies on here, so thank you Rusty, CT, Thrify and Flourgirl :T..

wow tomsmum that survival kit is fantastic!! :T
DD bought me some from the Glitter Pot sale last week, but I think I'm still only on 7 ff stamps. ;) I'm sooo tempted to go look on there for more, but I am being very good right now. Heaven knows how I'll manage to restrain myself at the NEC though, hopefully I'll have a full-time job by then. :o

aww how sweet of her ;) do hope you can make it to the NEC, would be great to see you again!

    Good Morning Ladies

Hope everyone had a good weekend?

I was getting over a shock that happened last Thursday - you can read the update here, so have tried to take my mind off things by being busy making one nappy cake, two mother's day cakes and 7 cards!

fabulous creations Sally, I can tell you've been busy! there's nothing like crafting to take your mind off things and make time fly is there!!

welcome back Rusty, its been very quiet on here without you!!! :D
